Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
My laptop will turn on and the screen saver that my daughter put on lights up, but it won't let me get on the computer. None of the settings or options pop up. I have tried the crtl atl del and various other combinations to see if it will reset, but nothing, just the screen saver. Any ideas for me? Thanks so very much!
Laptops are interesting creatures. If the memory becomes corrupted (sounds like it in this case), turning off the computer and restarting will not clear the corruption. This is because the battery is still supplying power to refresh the RAM.
Unplug the computer, remove the battery and leave it out for at least 1 full minute. Now put it back and try again.
