Question about Computers & Internet

I changed my password after years of having the same one, but, when two attempts were made to try to tap into my ebay account, I decided to change my email password. Now I can't get into my email account, which is distressing! I think that the new password is right, but when I try to get in, the secret question keeps me out, I don't even have a favorite sports team. i can't change the question without going into my account, and i can't get into my account. I had to set up a gmail account, so you can contact me at

Change your password Your Yahoo password applies to all Yahoo services you use with your account. Because of this, we think it's a good idea to change your password at least once every year to keep your account information secure.
You'll need to know your password before you can update it. Not sure what it is?Use our Password Helper.
Here's how to change it:
  1. Go to your Yahoo Account Info page.
  2. Enter your Yahoo ID and password.
  3. Under "Sign-In and Security," click Change your password.

Where is lost previous hotmail account.

You can not loose .it ..The account is still there and you need to make the log in ..Just get to the main page ..and select the sign in ..and insert the mail ..(complete ) ..and the password..first try to see if it works with the previous password ..and in case it does not work ., try the one you attempt to put when you tried the change ..there is a possibility it worked and now the account has this new password..
Do not force with many passwords one after another ..cause it can only be the one it was..or the new one you have chosen ..Trying wrong password one after another will get to the blocking of the account for a few hours or days as a protection .., cause the server will see this as an attack ..
So ..have patience and be sure about the password..
here is the log in page
Just click the link ..insert the full email and than try once the old password (in case it didn't worked the change it will be enough for log in ) or after that try the one you used when you tried to change it ..and it should work ..
If it does not forgot password ..and go on with the questions you will be asked ..and change the password again

How to get password that i have forgotten

Hi haymakedd,

There are ways that you can get into your laptop. The easiest one is by changing your password in Safe Mode. Here's how:

1. To go to Safe Mode, once you start up the computer immediately keep on tapping the F8 button. Keep on tapping it until you got the boot options.

2. Select Safe Mode.Once you're already inside Safe Mode you can go ahead and change your password.

3. Go to Control Panel.

4. Then, choose User Account.

5. Inside User Account choose your account and change password.

Make sure to take note of your new password. You can then go ahead and reboot your PC and log in to Windows normally.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

If i lost my password how can i get another one or find my old one.

If you are running windows xp, try starting up in safe mode.

start your computer and tap the F8 Key until you come to the safe mode menu. Boot into safe mode and see if you can log in as "Administrator" (if you do not see the Administrator account hold down ctrl+alt and tap delete twice, you should get the manual log in screen)

if your administrator account does not have a password, then you can go in and change your original account password.

If you have a password on your administrator account, you will need to download a password renewal tool of some sort.

HIren boot cd, or UBCD for windows has an assortment of tools for this

Acer Aspire M1100 Desktop - lost password, can't login in User Login. Is there a way to bypass the password?

If you're having trouble logging into Windows, you can attempt to use the Administrator account to edit/remove the password of the user login. The Administrator account is hidden by default while in normal mode. You'll need to boot the PC into Safe Mode and login as the Administrator account. Follow the below steps:

  1. Reboot the PC and before the Windows boot screen appears, tap the F8 key about once per second.
  2. Eventually you'll be faced with a screen asking you how you want to boot Windows. Select Safe Mode.
  3. You will see some dll, sys, and com files scrolling down your screen, this is normal. Eventually the PC will boot up and you'll have a login screen with your User Account(s) and a new account, Administrator. Select Administrator.
  4. As long as you haven't, in the past, altered the password for the Administrator account, you should be able to simply click this account and have it log you in. If it requests a password, you might try "password" (without quotes) for the password.
  5. Once in, Navigate to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts
  6. Select the User Login information that you're not able to log into and remove the password for the account or change it something you know.
You can now reboot the PC normally and be able to log into this account without a password or with the password you created.

I am unable to view my Account it rejects my password

If this is XP, reboot to Safe Mode by pressing F8 (continuously... like tap, tap, tap, 5-8x) as soon as you see the first screen. On the Welcome screen, you should have "Administrator" as one of the account there. Just use the Administrator account to get in. Once you're in, go to Control Panel -> User Accounts, then change the password for your account from there.

Please rate this if it helped.

My 12 year old daughter's MSN hotmail account has somehow been hacked into. The person who is stating that they are my daughter has been using obscene language to her friends. Is there any way that we can...

Try to go to and try the forgotten password option, and you'll have a new password in your mailbox, log in with that and change the password inside and she'll be able to log in to her account once again.

Forgot windows acount access password; need to reset it?

Hi osio123 - if you're running XP here is how you do it. If you're running Vista let me know.

Log in to any account that has Administrator access.
Then go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user and change the password.

For Windows XP Pro:
At the log-in screen, press Ctrl/Alt/Del twice quickly
Type "Administrator" and leave password blank.

For Windows XP Home:
Reboot, tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Select Administrator at login, leave password blank.
Most Administrator accounts don't have passwords.

Then go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user and change the password.

If this gets you in, go to the list on the left side, and after you change your password create a password recovery disk.

If this fixes your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. IF NOT, DON'T RATE YET. Add a comment and let me know exactly what happened when you tried it. I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
