Question about Hotpoint 24 in. DWF34 Built-in Dishwasher
Hi, I have a problem with a dishwasher that has been sat in the garage for 5 months and I have plumbed it in today. When I switch it on, water comes in the bottom but does not heat up, it immediately starts to pump water out (cold) in little spurts, a second or so at a time and it continues to do this. The time remaining on the wash cycle does not decrease and it just stays in this loop. I have checked the impeller and that is not blocked. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
First I'm no expert.
Second I have a DWF34.
Try taking the left hand side cover off by removing the top (held on with 2 clips at the back) and then undoing the 2 torx screws visible on the left hand side when you open the door.
On my appliance there is a red plastic bar attached vertically, located near the bottom just to the right hand side of centre which attaches the flood float to a micro switch. Check that the red bar moves freely and that the micro switch clicks on and off. If you have an electrical tester check that the micro switch works.
Beware close contact to electricity can often be detrimental to health ... unplug the appliance before you touch anything.
