Question about PC Desktops
Most printers will have the print head come to center when you open the cover (has to be on). Than it is just a matter of either opening the top of the print head and then pulling out the cartridge, or just grabbing the cartridge and pulling it out if there isn't a lid. If the printer is not printing than maybe you have to reseat the cartridge. If this is correct I can see why it is telling you to remove the print head.

Possible that there are errors in the software and so needs a reset. So remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contacts
