My Grill will no longer lift

My grill won't raise up anymore when I depress the foot pedal. Anyone have any ideas what I've done to break my grill? I would hate to have to toss this grill out in the trash. Its awesome

I just had mine apart today because the cable broke. There is only one damper, in the left side where the pedal is. The other side is controlled by a cable that is strung on rollers. My cble broke so i had to replace it with one from a hardware store. I noticed that everything needs to be oiled for the system to work good. The gas strut/damper is inside of the lift tube. I would think it could be matched up with one from an automotive store. Autozone has a pretty good selection of them. But, The strut that is in the grill has a special end on it to fit the lift tube, you would have to somehow fabricate a new end or try to cut and weld or braze the old one onto the new strut. I have not had the strut problem yet because when I store the grill I leave it in the up position. this takes the stress and pressure off of the strut. Hope this helps.

Won't start., though I've turned it off several times, and waited, as per the instructions

If you didn't turn the gas tank's valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank for 5 minutes. That's part of the problem. Also, when you reconnect the hose to the tank. open the tank valve Very, Very slowly(slow motion, slow). If those things weren't done, then that's the problem.

If you did do the above and the gas still wasn't getting to the grill, you'll need to replace the Hose/Regulator Assembly. If you use the small cylinders, the gas valve will need to be replaced.

Yeah, it's a bear, alright. To make matters worse, that model grill is no longer manufactured, as of late, last year. But, on the upside, they still support the warranty. Your model grill was also made under the name CharmGlow,

Grill will not go up when you step on foot pedal. seems grill to heavy! what kind of adjustment is needed?

I am having the same problem. If I take the grill off and press the pedal the hydraulics work and the arms raise, but when the grill is on it won't lift - as if it's too heavy. I was wondering if it just needed some WD-40.

Bought this used in good shape cant get the grll to go down and looking for manual

As far as how to lower: Step (and hold down) the foot pedal, while holding the pedal down, push the grill down evenly on both sides at the same time. Let off the pedal when the grill is all the way down. I have two of these grills and love them. One will not stay down and I am working through that now. I'll post if I figure out the adjustment. Happy grilling, Don

Pedal does not bring up grill i have to take grill off and pull up manually any way to fix?

If you can still raise it manually, it probably needs new hydraulic struts. Mine actually never worked from new, and I am taking mine apart today to fix it. I will let you know what the part number is of the strut.

How do I remove the bottom grill from kenmore trio bottom freeze

The grill should pull off from the corners.
If the bottom of the grill is touching the floor, you may need to raise the front of the fridge before removal.

Gas grill overheated

I might have an Idea to what happened. All grills have a drip pan, most all new grills have a drain for grease that falls from our savory meats. Well, if, (not saying that you haven't) but if, you have not cleaned the drip pan, there is still grease left over that gets absorbed by food droppings. IF this is the case, you had a ticking time bomb of a grease fire. The grill did not overheat, the grease caught fire. You said your grill was a year old; so the regulator did not go full blast and when they do go bad they do not let gas pass through.

Not trying to preach to no one because I have done it myself, never leave your gas grill on and unattended. I hate to say it but even the owners manual says it.

I hope I did not come off the wrong way and I hope this might give you an idea/thought of what happened.
