No its not any of those...and I pay my bills..I was told that its a fault in my software...but my provider wouldnt exchange it for me =(

  • dalsakka Sep 26, 2008

my phone is actually not out of warranty..just my provider being retarded....the thing is this phone is brand new...it was working just fine...then i went away for the summer so i turned it off and kept it in a safe place..after i came back the service was just VERY week and it went downhill from there...ive been back for like 3 weeks now and for the past 2 days i have been getting no service at all. Which is why im here to see if anyone else has had this problem before or why it happened in the first place.

1. Check that it's not in a standby/standalone/antenna off mode. A friend may have played a trick on you.

2. Pay your bill?

Well if your provider told you that it was a software problem then you have your answer. You failed to mention this in your original post. Check to see if the provider will do a software update. Since your phone is obviously out of warranty, you will have to get a new phone.

Who is the provider and what type of service do you have, ie prepay, monthly?

  • plastic Sep 26, 2008

A monthly plan still under warranty- there is no reason they should not replace it, unless there's more to the story. Try a different provider outlet or call the customer service. That is total BS and there is no excuse for it. Good luck.

I am trying to forward my calls to my cell phone from my vtech dect 6.0 phone, how do I do that

That forward-to-another-number would usually be a function of the telephone company or service provider -- BUT the Vtech DS6522 and a similar AT&T phone do include a Bluetooth connectivity with an associated cellphone wherein the cellphone is the "service provider" and the Vtech handsets are "extensions" from the cellphone, a complicated scenario. See your model's manual ( it is available at www.manualslib.com ) and/or perhaps talk to your phone company. Good luck!
