Hi
if you select cold it should be only giving you cold water so the sensor should not be an issue , i would chang my hose over to the hot line and select hot ans see if that is ok if it is then it will be the solenoid you could try also swapping the hot and cold solenoid to see if that works
cheers grantreps

Intermittent water flow interupted by solenoids pulsing

I've got the same problem. If I pause the cycle, wait about 10 seconds, and then resume, the water starts normally. I suspect the Cold Water Inlet Solenoid is sticking, probably due to water sediment in the solenoid causing it to stick. I'll try cleaning it and then replace if that doesn't help and let you know what happens.

Tip

Water is not getting inside my washing machine.

If water is not getting into the machine, check the following:

To start cut power to the applianc3e for five minutes, this can fix a jammed timer control.

Check if the hot and cold water faucets are connected, and have good pressure.

If that does not work you may need to call a repairman to test the following:

The inlet valve must be tested by energizing it , testing valve solenoid, and reading voltages to identify a fault in wiring (contact).

If the inlet valve is fine when tested, worth having a look at the water level switch, if it is stuck on overfill position , it will prevent water from getting into the machine.

Lastly, the timer control board should be tested, to ensure that the problem is not a faulty timer keeping the inlet valve on close position.

No water on rinse cycle timer stays on rinse all other cycles work

Check for a cold water supply problem, since it's cold water that is used in the rinse cycle. Unplug the machine, shut off the water, and remove the water supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the water inlet valve openings. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Pay particular attention to the cold water side. The solenoids can be tested using an ohmmeter or multimeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Washer goes through wash cycle fine but when time for water to run into washer for rinse cycle, no water comes in.

Check for a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small metal screens inside the openings on the valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris (especially the cold water side) and check the solenoids. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

After initial start up on hot water , it reverts back to cold water only. The water valves work when tested in diagnostic mode.Fault reads Hot and Cold Water Valve Faulty. On hot water only it starts out...

It's most likely the water inlet valve solenoids. Be sure to unplug the machine. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a bad solenoid. Also check the small metal screens inside the openings on the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Washer has been working fine for sevral years.I started a load when it went into rinse cycle it stopped and will not run at all. this is a Kenmore extra large capacity model no. 110.14102300

If no water entered the machine at the rinse cycle, then I would check for a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Pay particular attention to the cold water side. Next, check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a bad solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Check this and if you need additional assistance let me know. I am working with limited info. For instance, can you advance the cycle manually and make the machine operate? Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Look for a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clean of rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I have a Whirlpool AWG338 that has suddenly stopped drawing water. It will run a cycle as if water is there but never actually draws from the main. It has both hot and cold supply.

If water is not getting into the machine, and the hot and cold water faucets are connected, and have good pressure, then parts that can cause the problem are inlet valve, water level switch and timer control.

To start cut power to the applianc3e for five minutes, this can fix a jammed timer control.

Lg washing machine wft855a top loader

Following up my comment from yesterday, I took the machine apart and discovered that the black rubber cover on the valve that releases the cold water had perished and cracked, and wasn't opening properly.
I tested the hot and cold solenoids and everything checked out ok. Was just the cold valve sticking.
The wash cycle was working because I was using hot/warm water. As the rinse cycle needs cold water to get started, it was not working and the rinse and spin cycles wouldn't complete.
I have swapped the valves over for now (put the working hot one on the cold side and am using cold water only). It's working while I order a replacement...

Problem with Hoover 200M

Hi All
The solution is a faulty solenoid valve, either the hot or cold valve depending what temperature you are using.
Replacing the valve is easy turnoff machine unscrew hose, remove 3 srcews to lift control cover, slide out locking tab, unclip wires the replace valve which cost about 30-$40
