Bizhub won't scan to SMB share on Server 2008

We recently retired a Win2k3 server and moved all of the shares to a Win2k8 server. Since that time, both of our Konica/Minolta copiers cannot scan to the SMB share on the Win2k8 server.

SOURCE: konica minolta Bizhub C350. Following message

Hi katienash,

C-0F36 on the bizhub C350 means the machine has registered a really low toner density in the Black
Imaging Unit. I'd take the unit out, give it a shake and pop it back in. Also worth checking you have some Black Toner in it.
Good luck

Fuji xerox DC-II 3005 have 027-516 error, how to solve?

[Cause] During the transfer using SMB of the scan to PC
feature, the SMB server could not be found.

[Remedy] Take one of the following actions, and try again:
Check the following to see if the destination SMB server
and the machine are set up properly for network
communications:
- Check the network cables are plugged in securely.
- Check the TCP/IP settings.
- Check communications of port 137 (UDP), port 138
(UDP), port 139 (TCP).
Check the following to see if the computer correctly
works as an SMB server.
- Check if the file sharing service for Microsoft
Network is activated.
- Check if [NetBIOS over TCP/IP] for TCP/IP
is activated.
- Check if the file sharing service (using
communication through port 137 (UDP), port 138
(UDP), and port 139 (TCP)) are authorized for the
Firewall settings.
For communications which exceed the subnet, check the
WINS server settings, and check if the server address
can be resolved correctly.
For Windows NT 4.0 Server/Workstation, use the
following steps to see if the NetBIOS interface device is
activated on the destination SMB server:
1. Select [Start] > [Settings] > [Control Panel].
2. Display [Services], then select [Messenger] service.
3. Select [Startup] > [Auto] > [OK], then select [Close].
4. Select [Devices] in the [Control Panel], then select
[NetBIOS Interface].
5. Select [Startup] > [Auto] or [Manual] > [OK], then select
[Close].

Xerox scanning error 027-516:server connection error in smb

This means that your machine cannot connect to the network share to which it is supposed to write the scanned documents.
There may be several causes:
- if it worked before, perhaps the server or computer with shared folder to which the Xerox unit is configured to write files is unavailable/switched off, or the shared folder is not shared anymore or has changed security permissions, preventing the Xerox from writing, or the share name has changed
- if it never worked, perhaps the Xerox needs configuring prior to use (how it should deliver the faxes, via network share or email). Refer to it's manual on how to configure scan delivery.

Unable to access scan folder of Toshiba e-Studio 232 scanner from windows 7 system

Connect to copier/scanner using web browser. Click Administration tab, and logon use the copier's username/password. Click Network Click SMB Session Click SMB Session box In section called "SMB Signing of SMB Server", the default of "If client agrees, digital signature is done for communication" needs to be changed to "Digital signature isn't done for communication for the server" Click Set button at top, then Save button, and the copier will reset.

Device does not recognize delivery server

this device does not support scan router v2 lite.
your best bet would be to set up using SMB scan to folder.
set up is pretty straight forward create a folder on the root of C: ie C:scans
share the folder with full permissions, simple file sharing has to be turned off!!
then go into the device web page using the IP address ie: 192.168.xxx.xxx.
go to configuration and smb create a user name ie: bill then point the device to the computer you created the folder on, ie: bill's pc/c:scans
save the configuration log out of the web utility reboot the device and you should have succesfully created an smb folder share.

if this resolves or answers your query please rate me accordingly
good luck and thanks

Job has been done improperly check log files

The first thing to try is to restart the Bizhub. Power switch for that is located behind the front panel where the toner cartidges are. Not the switch to the side of the operation panel.

If that doesn't work, you need to check the job history. Press details, there will be a description of the error.

Server Connect Error: The Bizhub cannot find your computer.
Things to check:
Firewall, ports that need to be open are TCP 139, 445, UDP 137, 138
Netbois resolution not working, try using your PC's IP address instead.
If using Host Name to resolve, try Host name in uppercase.

Folder Not Found:
Check to make sure you are using the correct share name. Not necessarily would be sd.

Login error:
Need to use a Username/Password which is an active account which has priveledge for the shared directory. If on a domain, use a domain authentication string for the username ([email protected]) If on a workgroup, \\COMPUTERNAME\Username If your password rotates every 60-90 days, could be that all you need to do is update the Bizhub with that information.

SMB Scanning - Virtual Server envirnoment

Hello,
A quick fix for that would be to enter the fix IP adress instead of the host name, or to check if the host name on the SMB server is correct, and reboot the SMB server.
A good help is to do that from another PC to check if that works:
ping the IP adress try to connect to smb://IP_adress_or_hostname
If that works on the PC, there's no reason that it shouldn't work for the scan

Adding an IP address to Bizhub C353

at the copier press the scan button touch direct input tab, touch scan to smb, in the host name field enter the tcpip address of the target pc, in the destination folder enter the shared folder name, in the user id field enter the valid workgroup or domain user name, in the password field enter the user password, press start. at the computer you have to create a shared folder on the root of c: and give it all rights read and write allowed this is how to scan to a shared folder you can also sca to an internal email server or to a ftp server on your network or to a usb flash drive that you can plug directly into the machine

Check the log/details.

It will clarify if it is a server connect error or a log-in one.
It will give you the details as to where the function is falting.

It may be as simple as entering the file path correctly.
