Question about Eureka Vacuums
Greetings from GoVacuum,
Your belt has probably been stretched to a point, the brush no longer spins when it touches the carpet. You probably can turn the machine over, and see the brush spinning, but it's probably stretched to a point where as soon as the agitator brush begins feeling any resistance created by the carpet, it just is not enough tension to spin the belt.
Replacing the belt of your vacuum cleaner will most likely need to be replaced. Even though the belt might not be broken, we do recommend that you replace the belt every 6-12 months to ensure optimal performance.
Usually you can find manuals on how to replace the belt, and what type of belt you will need in your owners manual (most manufacturers have these manuals available on line as well).
