No sound from my laptop?

If you have no sound, there are several reasons. First, the sound may be turned off. Check the sounds icon in the control panel. Check to see if your laptop speakers are the default playback device and make sure they have not been muted. Check the little picture of a speaker in your system tray. Click on it to see if the volume is too low or the little mute square is not checked.
Rarely is the problem defective speakers--rather it's muted volume or the wrong playback mode being chosen. For instance, if you have a set of earphones and you can't hear sound from the speakers, you probably will be able to hear it through the earphones.

I cant hear sound in my laptop while playing music

Restart your laptop, also make sure the unit is not muted. Check volume control and unplug any headphones/speakers. Lastly reinstall the sound drivers. You can get these from your laptop manufacturers website. Cheers, Ravi Shanghavi

My new Acer Aspire one D 250 laptop has a very low volume output . All the volume controls are up including wave output but with no success

Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar, lower right hand corner of the screen.
Select "Adjust Audio Properties."
In the popup box, go down to "Speaker Volume." Click "Advanced"
In the new pop-up, make sure that "Laptop speakers" is selected. Click all the OKs you need to in order to establish that setting and clear out of "Adjust audio properties."
Now you SHOULD have much better sound from your speakers.
For some reason, my D250 keeps defaulting to "Stereo headset" which produces much lower volume sounds when a headset is not inserted. So low that you can't watch and hear a video through the speakers and understand what is being said. Once you switch to "laptop speakers" you'll be able to hear stuff. It won't be high volume, these things just don't put out high volume, but it will be reasonably audible, if this was the problem.

Audio do not play

Unplug speaker connection. Go to Control Panel, double-click on "Sounds and Audio Devices" and on "Volume" tab make sure "mute" is not checked and that volume is sufficiently up there. If thats ok select "Sounds" tab and go to "Program events", select any Windows sounds and check to see if you can hear the sound by clicking on the arrow next to it. If you can hear sound its ok so then check your speakers connection to correct sound output jack and that external speaker is powered on.

The volume

There might be number of reasons
1) check your sound drivers are good. Start-->run--> type devmgmt.msc and check if u can see any yellow mark on sound devices
2) in control panel go to volume control and check if wave bar in not at bootom or mute button is not checked.
3) Go to start-->run--> type services.msc, check in windows audio if service is not stopped if its is then restart this service.
Hope it helps !!
