I am having the same EXACT problem... It has been working fine, now it won't turn on at all. It won't come on when I plug it up to charge either... I'm very upset.

We have the same problem too. Won't turn on. Just prior to it not doing anything, the display went upside down.

I hate to say this but I'm on my third replacement for this exact same problem. The device works fine for a few weeks and one worked fine for six months and then it just suddenly stops in mid song and the screen goes black. It's not recognized by the computer and just won't do anything. Customer support keeps asking me if I've dropped it but, I've never dropped any of them. I'm not optimistic about my third replacement coming. I think there has to be some kind of defect with this model or something!

Will not charge. Period. Worked fine for several months, then suddenly just shut down without warning. Can plug into computer and appears to be charging, but no matter how long it stays connected, as soon as I unplug it from the computer, the screen goes black and the player will not turn on. It never stops indicating 'charging' while connected.

I also downloaded and installed the firmware updater (recommended solution from SanDisk website) but does not solve issue. In fact, every time I now plug it in, the updater installs a fresh update, but to no effect.

This appears to be a very widespread problem, judging by the ease with which you can Google up hundreds of similar accounts related to apparent charging issues.

Very disappointed in SanDisk for putting such a problematic item into the market.

It was hooked up to the wall charger in my room and I had some speakers playing it. I paused it and unplugged the charger to move it to a different room, and now it wont turn on at all. I've plugged it into 3 different outlets and 2 computers. No responce. I'm painting my room and I need music! D: Help please!

After one month of faultless working, mine too won't turn on at all. It will charge, and the charger will show that it is fully charged. When connected to the computer, the computer says that your hardware may not have connected properly - you can say that again! It doesn't show up in Explorer. I've tried the 10 second reset and that doesn't help.

I have sort of the same problem, It was working fine, I was able to listen and everything, and then it went into standby, and then I tried plugging it into the computer, and the dial turns blue, but the screen stays black, it won't turn off, it won't do anything. I have reset it several times. Any ideas?

My screen "froze" up and stayed continuously "blue". I pushed the power button up for 10 seconds and it reset it self.

I had the problem of my clip freezing up after charging for several hours. I found a suggestion that I hold the power button for about ten seconds and it would reset itself. Sure enough it worked! It's worth giving a try.

Why won't my Sansa 250R won't recognize an sd card?

Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The disc tray on my iView 4000KR won't open. It has a disc inside that plays fine, but won't eject. This has never happened in the 18 months I've had the player.

Under each disk tray is a very small hole; this hole is for use when you experience the problem like yours.

Get a paper/money clip and straighten the wire; push the wire into this hole and your disk will open.
