Hi,
Aiwa is owned by Sony few years back.
You can download Instruction Manual of Aiwa NSX-A888 (CX-NA888) from Sony Support.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have lost my instruction manual. Is it available on line? How? Many thanks David Simons

The specific product you're inquiring about is not showing in your post. Name the make and model first, then we'll ALL look for the manual. Then (maybe) find a solution. You might find it at the manufacturer's support site or these guys...

Hey, I purchased Marantz set: audio SR4400 and dvd DV4400, but I have no idea how to connect the two together. I want to listen to music and watch films on dvd with the sound coming from the speakers, but...

Yes, read the manuals.

It IS complex and NOT for guessing.

Register and download the manuals for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Marantz-DV4400-DVD-Players-manual/id/511ag817/t/2/

Did you even get the SR4400 and speakers to the point that it runs by itself (test tones, FM)?

Master that part, then attach peripherals.

Some basics to keep in mind:

INs connect to OUTs.

Compatible connectors fit without modification.

Never test with MAXIMUM volume. If you can't hear something at medium volume it ain't there.

Regarding the DV4400: I'd advise you to run it's Component Video directly to your TV and its coaxial digital audio to the receiver so each medium is handled by the intended specialized electronics first. Run the DVD analog audio to the TV for watching news using TV speakers and without the receiver turned on.

>>>> * A word on coaxial vs spdif (optical) audio cabling - I always use coaxial if I have the choice because it is A) cheap RCA cable available anywhere in any reasonable length you want to run; B) can be extended and SHARED with other components if you have limited jacks available. You just have to be careful to make sure only one digital source at a time is turned on while using the other; C) RCA cable is impervious to problems arising from tight bends; optical is physically delicate and won

I hava a insignia dvd receiver is-htib102731 and want to know what optical digital audio cord to buy for sound on my tv

gailsplaytim,
That really depends on what audio inputs you have on your tv. Your Insignia has composite audio outputs (Red and White) and digital coaxial and your tv most likely will have at least composite inputs.

The easiest way to connect your dvd to your tv is just to use the composite as you will not hear the difference in sound quality between the two through the speakers built into your tv.

If you want to run digital audio into your tv for a reason such as the tv's audio output is running to another device like a receiver and you want the digital audio to transfer, you need to look at what digital audio inputs you have on your tv. The only digital audio output on your dvd is a digital coaxial. You can buy digital coaxial converters online. If your tv for example has a toslink input, there are digital coaxial to toslink converters relativity cheap online

DVD drawer won't open and no audio on home theatre system

As far as with dvd and cd players in many devices they usually put a tiny hole under the dvd/cd tray. If you open the door with a precision screwdriver and look beneath the tray for a tiny hole and insert the screwdriver into the hole you will feel a gear, push a little more and this is the "emergency release" the disc should pop right out if it is a tray (not a front loader like ps3!) for the audio i need some more info like connections and what cables are being used, analog or digital. hope this helps you out.
