If this is a high-pitched tone it probaly is from the DC-AC inverter that provides the high voltage to light up the front panel. Normally, this is barely audible, but I've seen a few that are loud enough to be annoying. It may be possible to install a small filter in the power line to the inverter, inside the radio. I've never tried this but if the inverter is the source of the noise, this will be the most practical way to isolate ite & eliminate the problem.
This should onlty be attempted byan experienced CB technician.

MT1500 shows full battery but beep's like it's dead

Hello
This double beep tone you are hearing is a acknowledgment tone indicating that the radio is in the transmitting mode. On the Motorola MT1500 radio you can adjust the tone volume separate from the reception volume by simply holding down the volume control and setting the tone volume level.
I hope this helps.

I have a constant buzz tone coming from my subwoofer. I checked power connection, fuse and volume/crossover settings and nothing makes the tone go away. is there anything else I can do? Is it repairable?

Hello,if your subwoofer cable has gone bad this will introduce a hum(buzz) into your audio.I suggest replacing the subwoofer cable, a standard rca cable will do,and see if the audio cleans up.

2007 Saturn Aura XE, the audible alarms can hardly be heard

Good news - they're adjustable. The radio is used to adjust the vehicle's chime level. To change the volume level of the chime, press and hold push-button 6 with the ignition on and the radio power off. The volume level will change from the normal level to loud, and LOUD will appear on the radio display. To change back to the default or normal setting, press and hold push-button 6 again. The volume level will change from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL will appear on the radio display.

Note: Each time the chime volume is changed, three chimes will sound to indicate the new volume selected.

Noise at maximum volume

NEVER turn the volume up to maximum if you suspect there is ANY signal coming in.

Is this an academic question, or does it really bother you at normal listening levels with a signal present? What you're doing isn't very real-world.

My own excellent system has audible hash noise present when I turn the volume up to max on a dead input, but it's still less than normal ambient noise in the room so I don't worry about it.

GE 28851 base handset #1, will not save ringer tone or volumn I selected. Brand New.

As it turns out, the primary base handset did save the newer selected ring tone and volume level setting.

However, the base maintains its own ring tone and volume level setting from factory.

Therefore, the base will present its own settings along with the handset setting during an incoming call.

So, one has to lower the volume of the base (in non-talk mode). The base should display in window: LO.

Then, only the ring tone and volume level selected for handset will be presented during an incomiong call.

How did I do????

100watt sub

There is a problem wwith teh power supply or the amp section. Does the noise remain constant or does it vary in volume? The sub should have a level control, does the noise vary with that control?

Subwoofer has a constant vibrating tone that will not go away

I suspect that what you are hearing is the 60 cps of the mains. If the humming sound is coming the subwoofer itself, then it is possible that you have a defective/leaky capacitor in the power supply section of the subwoofer. In the subwoofer, if the buzzing sound is coming from anywhere else other than the speaker itself, then it is possible that you have a loose transformer again in the power supply. Unless you are comfortable working with testers and soldering irons, I would suggest an electronics technician who should be able to diagnose and fix it for you.
