On the DVD player when you push the power button the red LED light just blinks and does not stay on steady. Nothing else in the whole dvd player works at all. Its like no power is even getting to the DVD player but the LED does blink. Does anybody have any information on how i can fix this or has recently had this happen to them?

Turn on the TV or other device that you would like to program.
Press the TV button on your remote control. NOTE: If you would like to program your remote control to work with a DVD Player, VCR or Audio device press the AUX button.
Press and hold Setup until the red light blinks twice, then release Setup.
Enter the first code for your device listed above. If you perform this procedure correctly, the red light will blink twice. NOTE: If you enter an invalid code, the red light will display one long blink and exit the programming mode. Repeat steps 2 to 4 with a valid code.
Aim the remote control at your device and press Power once (press the Play key for devices that don't have a POWER button). If the TV turns off, make sure that the VOL+/- and Mute buttons also work. If so, you're all set!
If not, repeat these steps using the next manufacturer's code (you may need to try several codes to find the one that works).
First, make sure the device you want to connect with your remote is turned on, whether that's the television `, DVD player, VCR player, etc. Now aim the Innovage remote at the device. Press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the device (TV,DVD etc.). Now, press and hold the SET button on the remote control until the LED light on the remote control holds a steady red.
Enter the 4-digit code for your device by pressing the number keys on the remote control (see list below). When you press the fourth digit, the LED light should turn off. This means the remote and the device are "speaking" to each other. Press the OK button to store the code.
If the LED light blinks three times and then remains a solid red, the Innovage remote doesn't recognize the code for your device. Verify the correct code, then go through the programming steps again.
if it does nothing when you push the standby button to make it play the most common problem is the power standby sw is bad. do you know how to use a miltimeter if so test the voltage through the swithc when you press the button.
My daughters had the same problem, try replacing C411 (I think that was the number on the board), its a 10V 1000uf capacitor in what appears to be the 5V power supply section toward the right rear of the main board, that fixed it. On hers the capacitor was swelled up on the end. I checked it out of the circuit and the DVM I used only indicated it had about 500uf capacity.
Sounds like the power supply in the dvd player has failed. It works just well enough to turn on the led infront but as soon as you go to do anything it shuts off. This is common in cheaper dvd players. Unless you can troubleshoot electronics. Or know someone that can. Your best bet is to unplug the unit and disassemly and retrieve your dvd.
