Hi. I have the sharp tu-tv 322h which I bought from someone else. Its been sat in its box for a year unused and so when i switched it on and set it up i could only get one or two channels. The others were...

You should be able to get all the standard freeview channels without bothering with TopUP TV.

Follow the Instructions on Page 24 of the Manual at the link below.

http://www.tradenet.sharp.co.uk/files/Consumer_Electronics/DTR/TUTV322H/TUTV322H279.pdf

If this doesn't tune all the Stanadard Freeview Channels then you're not getting a strong enough signal for this unit so it won't be able to upgrade the TopUP TV side of it.

Hello I can hardly hear on all of my channels. I have directv and I can't get a reasonable volume. Is there something I can do to fix this problem?

Directv low volume problem.
One sure way to eliminate Directv's low volume and any other volume problems in general is by installing a stereo compressor between your Directv receivers audio outputs and your TV's audio inputs. (Simply plug the compressor's outputs into TV and your receiver outputs into the compressor's inputs). By correctly setting the controls on the compressor, you won't loose the dynamic program content. Not only will it raise the volume level to where you want it be, it will also prevent it from exceeding any set level you chose, actually limiting how loud any sound can be. These settings are fully adjustable. In other words when you switch from Directv back to a dvd or any source, no more sound blasting, you can set levels to be the same now since you have raised then adjusted Directv's level to normal. Plus a compressor will raise those low hard to hear audio sections often found in movies. This is the reason we used them all the time in the recording industry. Another benefit is it levels all channels on Directv. The result, channels are now the same volume. This is what I'm doing to end the problem. Hope this helps someone. J Pynckel

TV suddenly lost colour - gone black and white Virgin Media.

most likely the problem is due to a "lock up" you need to reset the system, unplug the set, and look in the back panel (I am assuming it is a digital (flat screen tv?) for a small (usuall) red nipple, again making sure the power is unplugged, depress the nipple with a bll point pen for about 5 seconds, wait a few minuets, and plug the set back in, you will most likely need to go to your menu for set up again, but you will be starting with a clean slate (so to sleak) and the tuner should then correctly pass the signal though

Cable on TV suddenly went to black & white (and a bit fuzzy)(some channels show faint colour). Was fine, nothing was changed, one day was suddenly B&W. TV screen is not the problem, all other cable...

Was playing around with the TV's menu and changed the Tuning Band from "HRC cable" to "IRC cable". Suddenly I have colour again. No one had adjusted any of the controls, so still not sure why one day it was fine and the next day it had gone to black and white, but changing the Tuning Band fixed the colour problem for me.

One of our TV's was being accessed by someone in the neiborhood. I found in the manual how to change the remote code. After doing this the TV is locked on one channel. I did reboot. The remote is working...

Hi! I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern. Lets Isolate the problem, press 1st the sat button once on the remote that is giving you a problem. the sat button should light up and check if you could pull up the guide or can change the channels. if there is still no response, bring with you the remote conrtol that is giving you a problem on tv1, turn on the tv and it should show a picture, go to the fron tpanel of the receiver and press the power button once to turn off the green light, once its off, the tv will go into a black or snowy screen, press the up button on the front panel of the receiver until it shows the system information. look for the primary and secondary remote address, ex, primary remote address is 1 on the white box and 1 on the green box, secondary remote address is 2 on the white box and 2 on the blue box, how to reprogram the remote, press and hold the sat button on the remote that is giving you a problem and wait until all lights lit up, once it lit up release it and press any number from 1 to 15, but lets choose 9, then press the pound button (#) that is under number 9, once you press pound button, the sat button should flash 3 times, then after it flash, press the record button, that is under the cancel or view tv button., you will notice that the secondary remote address was change from 2 to 9. to save the setting, get the remote1, select done on the screen and it will show a black or snowy screen. to check the remote 2 if it works, press the sat button once and the the big red power butto, the blue light should turn on if there is no blue light but there is, the blue light will turn off, then before you go to the tv2 location make sure that blue light is on and then check on the tv2 location if you could change the channels now. just incase that the problem is still there, check the remote antena on the back of the receiver, make sure that its on the upright position to broadcast the uhf signal properly.. that should fix the problem. if just incase the problem still exist, call 1800-333-3474 ask for a replacement of the remote..pls feel free to get in touch..if you have any query

Tivo won't change my TV Channels anymore with direct cable

I re-did the guided setup in the Tivo under Messages & Settings/Restart-Reset System/Restart menu section in Tivo. Once I did that, it cleared this issue, even though I didn't have to change any of my settings thru this guided setup. I tried a reset alone first, but that did not fix it. Only this fixed it. We had lost both power and cable during a recent tree fall in a storm, and when both were restored, this problem started. I have a cable coax directly in the back of the TV (no cable box/IR etc) and the system is on a home wireless network. I actually have 2 identical Tivo's in the house set up the same way but only one had this problem. The other worked no different after the outage.

Philips 32pt television screen format off center, to the left

For me it was the cable box settings...

I'm not a tech person, so take this for what its worth. I had the same problem with my Vizio and my Time Warner Cable HD/DVR box using the HDMI cord connection. HD channels were always fine, and non HD channels were fine until I went to an HD channel and back. When switching back, the non-HD channels would be shifted to the left as you describe. After much back and forth with both Vizio and Time Warner (each saying its caused by the other), I stumbled across the following fix...

I went into the cable box (scientific atlanta 8300) "settings", under "display," under "output resolution." There was a list including 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and "auto select." I unchecked both 480 options and left 720 and 1080 checked. Problem solved. The other "Display" menu settings are as follows: Picture Size = Stretch, Aspect Ratio = 16x9.

Hope this helps.
