Explanation
A 924.xx error message indicates that an "open circuit" has been detected in the fuser unit. What to do
If this is the first time you have seen the error, turn the printer off.
Leave the printer off for at least 10 seconds to give it a chance to reset, then turn it back on.
If this does not clear the fuser error, the printer will probably require service. The parts most likely to be causing this error are the following: 1st, the fuser unit ( this is the most likely of the three ) 2nd, the system board 3rd, the low voltage power supplyunit.
These parts will need to be inspected by a service technician and replaced as necessary. IMPORTANT! If this is an intermittent error, you may want to check how the printer is plugged into the wall. Make sure it is plugged straight into the wall and not through a surge device or power strip. Power strips and uninterrupted power supplies can cause a low amperage problem in the printer which can trigger a false fuser error. This is true even if the printer has worked on this surge device previously.
