Won't spin out and makes a humming noise

If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Most dyers after you pull the top up, the front should just lift a little and it should come loose, sounds like you may have the belt intact, but the motor is not conected to the belt.

Check the wire connection at the motor to see if one of the pins is bent.

Hi How old is it , ? and dose it soun like the motor is running but not turnning the drum ? this would be a bad belt , you will need to do some more investagating for me to help you

You may need a new start capacitor or fan motor.I would have the capacitor checked by a electrician and changed if needed. Good luck and thank you.
