Question about Lexmark C910 Printer
We have a low page count Lexmark C910 that jams frequently (every 5 - 20 pages, we normally use A3, we have tried various paper stocks).
When this happens the paper is just starting out of the top tray and normally if I open the right-hand door I find the paper just starting out into that area. The paper is normal in perfect condition, I just have to full it through.
We have tried an update to the latest firmware upgrade.
We have had this printer from new, it has a very low page count as no-one has the patience to put up with the farce of using this 28ppm colour laser printer as all in all, it takes longer to print a 10 page print-job on this printer than a £49 inkjet.
I have tried Lexmark but they just fob me off.
What is worse, if I clear the jam (or mis-feed), the printer goes through a two minute pantomine as it starts up again.
Don't get me wrong, if this beast worked as advertised it would be fantastic.
Can anyone help, or does anyone want an otherwise mint C910 for spares at a reasonable price (less than 10,000 prints, 60%+ full toners).
Could just be feed rollers are not picking paper properly. If they are dirty or dried out.....paper isn't getting to the input sensor in the correct time. Try cleaning with at least 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Other thing to check for is...make sure there is not a tiny piece of paper stuck in paper path that is blocking the page coming out of the tray. If a previous jam was removed.....a piece may have ripped off and is hidden somewhere.

SOURCE: paper keeps jamimg
Clean all the feed rollers with a slightly damp soft cloth and see what happens, ensure if applicable on your model that media/paper type is set to correct format for what you are printing ie card stock / heavy, then throw it in the bin after releasing ones frustration on it.

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Rollers could be worn out. Also could be a problem with the paper sensor. Not sure what type of sensor this printer uses. Some just use a pressure switch, others use a light sensor.

I had the same problem with it jamming every time that I printed. I took it a part and found that a pencil had fallen into the bottom of the paper feed. I removed it and it works fine now.
