It is very possible that it needs a new power supply, there are many different models for the PS3 and everyone of them take a different power supply. I keep some in stock, just contact me with your model number and we can go from there.

Second level tv has a signal but the main tv on first floor has no signal.

Hello! It sounds like there are a few things that could actually be going on. If you are getting no picture on the TV(you have a black, blue, or snowy screen), you will want to make sure that the TV is on the correct channel and/or input. You will want to be on channel 3 or 4, and possibly on a Video 1 or 2 or HDMI 1 or 2 input. If that doesn't work, then try unplugging the receiver from the power source for about 10 seconds. If you are still not getting a picture, let me know!

If you have a signal loss message on your screen (Signal has been lost, Partial SIgnal loss, COmplete signal loss, or Acquiring signal), you will first want to unplug the receiver from the power source for 10 seconds. You will get the Acquiring singla message as the receiver reboots after you plug it in, but that should only be about 5 minutes at the most. If you get the message after 5 minutes, you will want to make sure that all of the cables going from the back of the receiver to the wall are tight. If that still doesn't do it, please let me know!

P1000 problem loss of power after 10 minutes

P1000 is not really a fault code, if there are no there are no other codes stored then perform the following:

Disconnect the positive terminal on the battery, hold the terminal to the chassis for 2 - 3 seconds, this defuses the ecu and drains stored data thus clearing P1000.

Now wait 10 minutes.

Then reconnect battery.

Start car *without touching gas pedal*

Leave car idling for a good 5 - 10 minutes then jump in and go on a minimum 12 mile drive, you will need to perform a few normal driving conditions, fast, slow, stop, pull away etc so just a normal day to day trip to the town would suffice.

Hopefully this will sort it, if not report back

Regards

Lloyd

Turning off when game is playing

If the PLAYSTATION 3 feels extremely hot or the system will power off and the power light will flash, this could be an indicator there is a temperature issue with the PLAYSTATION 3 and it is not able to keep the system cool. Please attempt the following troubleshooting steps.
  • Remove any obstructions from the vents.
  • Allow at least 4 inches of clearance on all sides for the PLAYSTATION 3.
  • Remove the PLAYSTATION 3 from any cabinets so it is out in the open.
  • Shut the PLAYSTATION 3 down completely and let it cool down to room temperature, then try running it again.
  • If the fan cannot be heard before the system shut down, the PLAYSTATION 3 may need to be sent in for service.
  • If there is no airflow from any of the vents, the system may need to be sent in for service.

Ps3 complete power loss..??

nutterbutter

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Playstation 3 powering off. Most likely what is happening is that the system is over heating.

You need to look were you have it placed if it is in a close area like an entertainment center you might trying to put it on a flat non carpet surface in the open to see if you still have the same problem.

If you still have trouble please let me know how log you play the system before this happens and if there is any time difference in pulling it out in the open.
