Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer

All In One Centre

Hi,

The all in one centre does not show on my windows start up. I downloaded the driver two times and still it does not show!
tried to scan from the printer directly but it shows on the screen cannot retrieve application list?


Can u help

    Exactly the same problem. Connected via a USB cable, prints okay, and I can use MSPaint but I'd rather be using the All-in-one centre. Anyone got any ideas?

Okay I think I have the solution.

I unistalled the drivers, rebooted my PC and then connected the X5470 to the computer via the USB.

Windows immediately recognised a new device and then the Install New Device Wizard popped up. In this window it requested that I insert the CD which came with the device. I DID NOT CLICK NEXT! I opened the CD tray which had the CD in it and then closed it again. The wizard took it from there.

The interesting thing is though, once it had finished it recognised another new device and again asked me to insert the CD. I DID NOT CLICK NEXT! I opened the tray and closed it again and the wizard took it from there again.

This happened about 6 times! It recognised the printers, scanners, USB Mass Storage device, Card reader device, etc, seperately, and I just kept opening and closing the CD tray when it asked me to insert the CD which came with the device. After this the LEXMARK installation wizard opened and I just followed it's instructions. It's finally working.

I've got to say, this has been the most difficult installation of a device I've ever had to deal with in my life! Come on Lexmark, sort yourselves out!

- i like your problem can u give me more variables for this case?

-OS used
-type of connection(wifi light if applicable)

-workaround try to scan via MSPAINT on file their is scanner and cameras- to scan from the PC->printer

Error on HP solution centre " No HP devices detected.' displays on the computer....


( Note :- When ever this message comes it means that the software is not installed properly or in other words you will be able to print but not scan.

To scan the Mapping between the printer and the computer needs to be very efficient so that if you try to scan from the printer it works fine. )

HP Solution centre Works With the following files running.
a:- HPQTRA08.exe
b:- HPQSTE08.exe
These files are mainly for scanning from solution centre on the computer.

*************************Troubleshooting steps********************************3
Initially, Since it could be a mapping issue as well check the connections.

Follow these steps to check the USB connections and product status.

1:- With the product turned on, unplug the power cord and USB cable from the back of the product. Wait 30 seconds.
2:- Plug the power cord back into the product.
3:- Press the Power button to turn the product on.
4:- Connect the USB cable back into the product, and then make sure that the USB cable is securely connected to the computer.
5:- Restart the computer
6:- Try opening HP Solution Center again: On the Windows taskbar,

click Start , point to All Programs , point to HP , and then click HP Solution Center .

If stil does not work then try next
--------------------------------------------

[ Make sure that the HP Digital Imaging Monitor (DIM) is running ]

Step 1:- Look for the DIM icon in the notification area in the lower-right corner of the computer.
( If the DIM icon is present , discontinue the steps in this procedure )

Step 2:- If the DIM icon is not present, press the Ctrl , Alt , and Delete keys at the same time.
The Task Manager window opens.

Step 3:- Click the Processes tab, and then select the check box next to Show processes from all users .

Step 4:- Check whether HPQTRA08 and HPQSTE08 are running. If the services are running ,
discontinue the steps in this procedure

Step 5:- If the services are not running,

There Are two Ways:-

Number 1:- Do this :-

a:- Click on start--> My computer--> C drive -->program files-->HP-->bin

( Or right click on HP solution Centre
on the Desktop and choose properties-->Click on the button Find target (XP) or Open location (vista).
This will take you directly to the bin folder. )

b:- In Bin Folder Find out HPQTRA08.exe and double click on it.
It will bring the DIM icon in the notification area in the lower-right corner of the computer.
The DIM icon should be initialised. When it is initialised it has a green check mark in the centre else it does not
notify it with the green check mark.

Number 2:- Do this :-

click Start on the Windows taskbar, and then click Run .

Step 6:- In the Open box, type msconfig , and then click OK . The System Configuration Utility window opens

Step 7:- Click the Startup tab

Step 8:- Under the Startup Item column, look for hpqtra08 (hpqtra08.exe) and hpqste08 (hpqste08.exe).
If these services are not in the list, the driver did not install correctly.

Step 9:- Select the check boxes next to hpqtra08 and hpqste08 , if they are not already selected, and
then click OK .

Step 10:- When prompted, click Yes to restart the computer
Step 11:- When the computer restarts, look for the hpqtra08 and hpqste08 services again
Step 12:- Try opening HP Solution Center again.

If still does not work.

Make sure all the services required for Solution centre to work should be running,

Click on start-->go to run-->type Service.msc click ok --> now Find out
HPQTRA08,hpqste08,pml driver and net driver services should be running.
Make sure that Pml Driver HPZ12 is running
Follow these steps to make sure Pml Driver HPZ12 is running.

a:- Click Start , Control Panel , Administrative Tools , and then click the Services icon.
b:- In the Services window, look for Pml Driver HPZ12 under the Name column, and then check whether
the status is Started . If the status is Started , discontinue the steps in this procedure
c:- If the status is not listed as Started , double-click Pml Driver HPZ12 .
The Pml Driver HPZ12 Properties window opens.
d:- Under Service Status , click Start , and then click OK .
e:- Restart the computer.

If still does not work uninstall the software completely. Call 1-800-474-6836
HP tech support.

How can i get a driver for the installation of ineo+ 353? i am using window 7

Where it says "Search your Product", please enter your model name, so "ineo+ 353" and hit enter then at the bottom it should show 3 sub-headings, one of them being "Driver" - on the right side of this there should be a "Click to Open" click it, and it will show you available drivers to download, you are going to download either the very top one of that list, or the one below, but that is up to you to find out.

The User's Guide for the Document Centre 350 is available from the product support page. There are two files (one for the scanner and one for the printer). HP Solution Center does not recognize the scanner anymore... We are operating on a Windows 7 system... the drivers had to be downloaded from the internet because the cd that came with the printer was for...


I had the same problem and solved it. I was using HP Solution Centre to run my HP Scanjet 5590 on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit without problems. Then I ran the scanner using Windows Fax and Scan, but didn't like it, so went back to HP Solution Centre - whereupon the scanner was not recognised.
After hours of reinstalling software etc etc, without success, I suddenly noticed four device icons on the left hand side of HP Solution Centre. These were labelled (when hovered over with the mouse) hp scanjet 5590, hp scanjet 5590 #2, hp scanjet 5590 #3, hp scanjet 5590 #4. Only the top icon was active, but when I clicked on any of the four it moved to the top.
Clicking on hp scanjet 5590 #2 gave me a working installation once more - problem solved. No doubt the multiple icons arose from my desperate attempts to try different USB ports.

Look for another download source elsewhere on the internet. I also experienced this with my last printer-no all in one centre which was really frustrating. I picked up another lexmark printer recently with no disc and downloaded the drivers-complete with all in one centre so don't take no for an answer. Did you actually download the drivers from lexmark?

Driver problems


greetings fellow south-african. you will find the driver for your machine at the following web address:

http://www.triumph-adler.com

1) in the left of the screen click on "Download Centre"
2) from the list that now appears below "download centre" click on "driver"
3) in the main window, under "product group" select "copy systems"
4) under product name select "DC2150"
5) under "operating system" select your flavour of Windows
6) click on the "search" link just below "operating system"
7) from the list that appears look for an orange link called "KX-driver 4 4 0403c2.exe" and click on it
8) and Done

If memory serves me, this downloads as a self-extracting zip file, so all you need to do is double click the downloaded file, specify where you want the files to be extracted to, and click on unzip.

Sometimes the file will open a German version of Winzip. In this case, if your German is a bit rusty, choose where you want the files extracted to by click on the "Durchsuchen" button, and then click on the "extrahieren" button" to unzip the file.

Dont worry, the extracted software will be in English
