Supposedly Amana knows they have a problem...Only one of the three (3) vents from the freezer to the fridge is controlled. The other two vent directly onto the back of the crispers...

The Factory Fix is to Tape over the two untrolled vents..then the fridge hqas trouble getting cold...

I think I want a new fridge... Afactory Fix should NOT duct tape...

Refridgerator problem

Not sure about your model, but most of these style side by side refridgerators use the cold air from the freezer to cool the refridgerator. Sounds like your "flapper" valve is broken. At the top left in the refridgerator there should be plastic shroud. Remove it and your flapper valve should be under it. You will most likely find the flap broken off of it. You may have success using epoxy to glue it or you may have to replace the valve assembly.
Good luck.

Refridgerator side of my refridgerator keeps freezing my food

The problem may be low gas or it may be the thermostat is set too low.  First, look at the possibility that you may have the food partly blocking an air channel which is where the very cold air is coming from..  Fridge side should read about 40 F after the door is closed for about an hour.  If colder, adjust.

Food freezing in refrigerator section of frig.

look under your refridgerator and see if there is alot of dust on the coils. Whenever food starts freezing in my fridge I vacuum the coils and the problem goes away.
