Panel message indicates paper jam Door A. There is no paper there.

    I've taken my printer apart trying to find paper at Door A......There is no paper!  Help!

    Same problem. Printer indicates a jam at door A. Have followed all instructions on troubleshooting, but there is no paper jammed anywhere in the machine that I can find, and definitely not at door A or any of the associated rollers. Printer will not reset though, and I can't clear or override the error message. Need help!!

    I am trying the clear the message. There is no paper caught anywhere. Is there a button I can reset this?

    Verify that the door that is reporting the error is closed . make sure that it is not warped or damaged. When the door is closed, it activates a switch or sensor to tell the unit that it is closed.

Check in side the fuser unit there are two latches to release it and the unit comes out as one. check in there also you may have a paper feeding issue try to use the MPT as the paper sourse.

The Xerox support site indicates there is a paper jam to the printer, so you should check the paper tray, front and exit cover for any jammed paper then power off and back on the printer. This error indicates that the paper path motor stalled. Clear the paper jam, power off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

There is most likely a small piece of paper in the rollers take out Tonor and any parts that will come out with out having to use any tools. then spray with a can of air in all the rollers.

Can you print fine with no jams from the lower tray?
make sure you have clean new paper and start out with the 11"x8.5' letter paper. If you have that then follow the instructions below.

  1. Make sure there is no peaces of paper jammed in the path.
  2. clean the rollers with regular rubbing alcohol sometimes the rollers get way dirty to pick up the paper.
  3. If none of these tricks helped you then you have to change the the manuel feeder. part # 116-1561-00 good luck.

7300 jam


I find that I only get paper jams when I don't have the correct paper selected, i.e. plain, light card, glossy. The printer really does expect you to have the right one selected on the screen as is loaded in the tray.

When you get a jam, carefully open the designated location and make sure you remove all pieces of the paper.
