Insert any disc CD/DVD and keeps going in to to self check for sometimes minutes and sometimes hours. Very annoying as the DVD recorder is connected with the sky and keeps flashing sky up for 1 second then off again.

Please be a bit more specific if you can. In what way is it repeating itself? And once it comes on does it stay on? It could be a component faulty on the power supply side.

Where is the obd2 connector location on holden ra rodeo v6

Connect white (test lead) and black (ground lead) wires that are branched from harness approximately eight inches from ECM. After leads are grounded, the "Check Engine" light will flash the diagnostic trouble codes. The DTC's are indicated by the flashing CEL.
FLASH, FLASH, pause, FLASH, FLASH, FLASH = Code 23.
If only one diagnostic trouble code is stored, the DTC will repeat continuously until test leads are disconnected. If more than one diagnostic trouble code is stored, each DTC will repeat three times, starting with the lowest, then proceed to the next DTC. After all DTC's have been displayed, the pattern will repeat.I-MARK 84-85
Connect male and female test leads taped into wire harness near ECM. After leads are connected, the "Check Engine" lamp will flash the trouble codes.
After all DTC's have been displayed, the pattern will repeat.
86-87 Impulse located near the ECM connector, is used to actuate the Engine Control Module (ECM) trouble code memory within the module. Two terminals (A and C) of this connector are used to activate the diagnostic trouble code system in the ECM. With the ignition switch turned On, engine Off, connect a jumper wire between terminals A and C. The "Check Engine" lamp will begin by flashing a DTC 12. DTC 12 = flash, pause, flash, flash. There will be a longer pause and a code 12 will repeat two more times. This code indicates the self-diagnostic system is operating. The cycle will then repeat until the engine is started or the ignition is switched Off. In most cases, DTC's will be checked with the engine running since no DTC's other than DTC 12 or 51 will be present without the engine running. Remove jumper wire from ALDL connector before starting engine. Reconnect jumper wire after engine is running.

Throttle Body Fuel Injection

The ECM test connection is located under the center console.
A built-in, self diagnostic system will identify problems in the throttle body fuel injection system. When a problem is detected, the diagnostic system will illuminate the "Check Engine" light.
When the engine is started, the Check Engine light should turn off.. If the light remains lit, the self diagnostic has detected a problem. To determine where the problem exists, ground the "Test" terminal of the connector with the ignition On, engine Off and watch the check engine light. Each DTC will flash three times (lowest to highest).

Vs-60703 turns off after couple of hrs

Two common issues with this set, one is bad solder connections that develop with age and the other is a possible Glycol leak which usually just gets gradually worse.

This set MAY have the self check feature, when it shuts off do not unplug it, press menu and input on the front at same time for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons, if it has the self check the power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 3 blinks and pause and then repeat the code for a total of 5 times.

Let me know if you find an error code what it is, if you unplug the set it clears the error code and you must wait for it to fail again before repeating the test.

DTC P0603 - Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

The P0603 is usually a internal fault in the PCM. Here is the pin point test from the Ford manual.

MA1 CONTINUOUS DTC P0603
Note: This DTC may have set if the PCM or the battery(s) were disconnected.

Possible causes:
battery or PCM was disconnected
battery cables loose or poor connections
battery discharged
KAPWR circuit open
central junction box fuse #15 (5amp)
DTCs not cleared from a previous vehicle repair
PCM

Check and repair all other DTCs.
Key off.
Disconnect all diagnostic test equipment.
Disconnect the battery(s).
Wait 45 seconds.
Reconnect the battery(s).
Key on, engine running.
Wait 45 seconds.
Cycle key off and then on.
Clear DTCs.
Cycle key off and then on.
Retrieve the Continuous DTCs.

Is DTC P0603 present?
Yes- GO to MA2.

MA2 CHECK THE KAPWR FUSE
Note: Refer to the wiring diagram at the beginning of this pinpoint test for fuse numbers.
Key off.
Measure the voltage between both sides of the KAPWR fuse and ground.

Is battery voltage present on both sides of the fuse?
Yes - GO to MA3.
No - REPAIR as necessary. RESTORE the vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test.

MA3 CHECK THE PCM KAPWR CIRCUIT FOR VOLTAGE
Key off.
Disconnect the PCM.
Measure the voltage between the PCM KAPWR circuit pin 55, harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10.5 volts?
Yes - RESTORE the vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test. If DTC P0603 is present again, INSTALL a new PCM. RESTORE the vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test.
No - REPAIR the open KAPWR circuit. RESTORE the vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

D7160 error messages showing put the papers facing down , its correct selection from our side but keeps showing the messges

Print a self-test report. See the section on how to use these solutions at the beginning of this document.
  • If the self-test report prints , try printing the original document again. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the self-test report prints, but the original document does not , continue to the next solution in this document.
  • If the self-test report does not print , try printing the report again. Listen for the rubber paper-pick rollers; you should be able to hear them rotating. Then, try slowly pushing the paper farther in until the roller engages to pick up the paper. Be careful not to push the paper in too far, which can cause paper jams.
    • If the self-test report does not print when slowly pushing the paper farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product.
    • If the self-test report prints when slowly pushing the paper farther in , try printing the original document again. The paper might not have been loaded far enough into the product. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
    • If the paper only feeds through the product when you slowly push it farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product.

Monitor keeps saying self test everything working check plugs

The self test thinks nothing is connected to it
it might be the cable or the input circuit.
not an easy issue to verify if you only have one input.
most often its is the internal board with a failed input circuit.
you can only open the unit and test the vga cable continuity.
as most have a 1 year warranty you might want to check on yours.
