Question about Uniden BC244CLT Base Scanner
I have a Uniden Bearcat Scanner Model # BC147XLT 16 channel scanner radio and lost the instructions on how to program it. How do I get one e-mail to me. for free I am leagelly blind and don't get out much so I like to listeni to my radio. My e-mail address Is firstname.lastname@example.org
The BC147XLT is too old to obtain a manual from Uniden, but here's how you program it:
Turn it on & press 'Manual', then enter the number of the channel you wish to program & press 'Manual' again. Now enter the frequency you want to put in that channel, example 155.550, and press "Enter'. Then press manual to go to the next channel or repeat the first procedure to select a different channel other than the next one. Repeat the programming procedure for each channel.

Press Manual until you hit the channel you want (1-16)
Press in your frequency "123.45" Etc
Hit "Review" to confirm the frequency (it will flash on LCD)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
