Question about Amana ARGS7650SS Gas Kitchen Range

Converting to natural gas

Hi. I bought a Amana gas stove (ACS3350AS used) tha was on propane and I need to convert it to natural gas. I think I have ti switch the orifice (witch came with the stove). My question is where exactly is situated the orifice, and do I have to change other things? I found the user's online but there is no mention as how to do it.
Thanx I need to switch from propane over to natural gas. What are the steps that I need to take to get there. Thanks Tom Klein

I've just converted my stove from natural gas to propane and the oven and broiler flame are both to high, how can I lower them?

When converting from natural gas to propane you have to switch the regulator to propane. then on most modern stoves you have to turn the orifice hoods down to adjust for the higher pressure of propane. there are some stoves that you have to purchase a propane conversion kit with different orifices for the burners and oven burners.

How do I know if my Caloric Heritage gas range is propane or natural gas? It is a used stove that was given to us

Stoves are usually sent from the factory set for natural gas. they have to be converted to Propane. If it is set for propane the flame will be very low on natural gas. If set for natural gas on propane the flame will be very large. The orifices for natural gas are much larger than propane orifices. and the regulator is converted acordingly.

I have a Frigidaire Stove, Model # FGF316ASA. It was changed from propane to natural gas. The oven works well. The burners, however, will only burn a low flame. Is there a solution for this?

When converting an appliance from propane gas to natural sometimes a technician will drill the orifice to a larger size rather than replace the orifices. Either way is fine, but sometimes the orifices don't get drilled to the correct size. The regulator must be on the propane setting if it is a convertible regulator. If your oven is working fine.... the top burner orifices probably need to be checked that they are the correct size. A simple fix.

Gas stove need to switch to propane

Hi,

Hotpoint supplies the orifices and instructions with each range for converting. It is just that it is hidden, they attach it to the gas regulator. The regulator is near the bottom back typically. Here is a cut out from your use and care manual.

CONVERTING TO LP GAS (or converting
back to natural gas from LP)
This range leaves the factory set for use with natural
gas. If you want to convert to LP gas, the conversion
must be performed by a qualified LP gas installer.
The conversion instructions and LP orifices can be found
attached to the range next to the pressure regulator.
Keep these instructions and the orifices in case you want
to convert back to natural gas.

IWANT TO CONVERT TO PROPANE

It's probably not quite as easy as everyone says. Most gas appliances use a different control valve for LP (propane) and natural gas. You most likely will have to eplace the control valve with an LP one. I would contact Amana to see if they offer a conversion kit -- it would probably come with detailed instructions.

Change from lp to propane on my whirlpool stove

Propane is LP...(i.e. Liquid Petroleum)

The burners are working only as a fluke. It is extremely dangerous to operate a natural gas stove on propane. STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY. Call your local propane supplier and ask them about converting it to LP/Propane.
