I can't log into facebook

There are several way to get access to your facebook account, if your user id and password is ok, first try to recover your password by recovery option using your primary email id (the email account you used to open fb account), 2nd try to recover password by secret questions. If you had activate your browser remember password then try to recover password using recovery tools, for that search online.

Why i cant open my facebook

When Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004, it defined its mission as "Giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected." With the widespread success of this social networking website today -- more than 500 million regular users as of April 2011 -- it may meet that goal for many. When a Facebook user can no longer access an account, it can be frustrating, but there is typically a reasonable explanation.

Cookies/Cache

Facebook suggests that any user who can't access their account should clear cookies and cache on their computer as a first step. This will help remove old and unneeded files from your computer, and will sometimes help your computer to run faster, as well as allowing access to Facebook again. Once cookies and cache have been cleared, you should type "m.facebook.com" into the address bar on your computer. Avoid using any old bookmarks or links to visit Facebook for this first visit after clearing the cookies and cache.

Password Incorrect

If you attempt to log into your Facebook account with an incorrect password, you will be unable to access your account. Even if you have the correct email address, that is only half of the log-in equation, and the correct password is absolutely necessary to log into the site. If you may have entered the wrong password, enter it again, taking care to get each character correct. Passwords are case sensitive, so all capital and lowercase letters and any symbols must be entered correctly. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to click the "Forgot Your Password" link to recover your account and create a new password.

Account Closed

Facebook reserves the right to close accounts that they have determined are in violation of their terms of service. If Facebook found that your account contained inappropriate content, did not represent a real person, or violated Facebook rules in some way, the account may be closed, leaving you unable to access it. If your account was closed for one of these reasons, your login will fail and you will be provided with a link to Facebook's "Confirm Your Identity" page, where you can read about typical reasons for account closures.

Email Login Incorrect

If you have entered the incorrect email address, you will be unable to log into your Facebook account. The email address that you use to log into Facebook is case sensitive, just as your email address is. If you fail to capitalize a letter or forget to insert an underscore that is part of the email address, login will fail.

If you cannot access your Facebook account due to an incorrect email address, double checking the address for correctness prior to logging in again will resolve the issue.

Compromised Account

If account information such as your email address or password is stolen, your account may be compromised. If, for example, your account information is stolen, the person in possession of your log-in information can access your account and change the password so that you will no longer be able to get to your account. If you think this may have happened, you must access the "Compromised Account" page on Facebook and follow steps to prove your identity and secure your account.

I cannot log into facebook

Facebook has become a daily or near-daily habit for many people all over the world: People spend more than 700 billion minutes every month on the site, talking to friends, playing games and sharing information. While signing up with Facebook is simple, sometimes accessing an existing account can prove to be problematic. This can occur for a variety of reasons.
1.Incorrect Password
Facebook users who attempt to log into the site with an incorrect password will not be able to access their account until they go through the password recovery process. Users can recover their Facebook password by clicking the "Forgot Your Password?" link underneath the password login field. Users must enter their Facebook email address, linked mobile phone number, Facebook username, or their name and a friend's name. Following information entry, users can click the "Search" button to identify their account and have the password reset to a new password of the user's choice.
2.Incorrect or Forgotten Email
Facebook users who provide an incorrect email address will be unable to log into the site. Since an email address must be entered exactly as it appears on the email account, including any capital or lowercase letters, numbers and special symbols, an incorrect email login may be as simple as an accidental lowercase letter or a forgotten underscore. Facebook users should check their email address to ensure that no mistakes of this nature have occurred before login.
If a user has forgotten the email address used for their Facebook account, Facebook suggests the following options for email address recovery: Try to log in with a username if one was registered, try to log in using a mobile phone number if one is linked to the account, try locating the account on the "Password Reset" page, or ask a Facebook friend to view the account and find the email address listed on the profile. If none of these options work, Facebook suggests using any option on the "Recover Your Account" page.
3.Cache Or Cookies Problems
Facebook users who are unable to log in may be having a cache or cookies problem. To fix these type issues, users should clear the cache and cookies on the computer or mobile device, enter "m.facebook.com" as a URL rather than using previously established bookmarks or links, then log in as usual.
4.Account Disabled by Facebook
Facebook seeks to keep its site populated with real people, rather than fake profiles. As Facebook states, "Since accounts that impersonate anyone or anything can damage the integrity of this environment, Facebook doesn't allow fake profiles for celebrities, pets, ideas or inanimate objects." If your profile is deemed to be a potential fake profile, the account may be disabled by Facebook. When this occurs, the user will get a message upon attempted login that provides a link to the "Confirm Your Identity" page. This page provides possible reasons that the account may have been disabled. In some cases, it is due to the user not confirming an identity via a phone number.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

I cant open my account on facebook

It is unfortunate but it happens to many of us. After a week or two away from the computer, you go to log in to your Facebook account only to discover you can't access your account. Maybe you have forgotten the password or maybe your account has been hacked. Recovering your Facebook account requires that you provide some information to verify your identity and that you own the account before granting you access once again.
1. Open your preferred Web browser and direct it to the Facebook login page. Click on the "Forgot your Password?" link below the login area on the page.
2. Respond to the prompts with your account information. You may use your email address, telephone number, Facebook username or your name with a friend's name to identify your account and identity.
3. Select the email address or phone number you wish the new password to be sent to. If you do not have access to the listed email address(es) or phone number(s), click on the "Don't have access to these?" link to insert a new contact email address or phone number. Answer the security question to have Facebook send your new password to the new point of contact.
4. Wait the required 24-hour waiting period before regaining access to your account with your new password.
I hope you find it very helpful.

I made an account for the first time on facebook. hen i tried to chat with my friends it says that my confirmation of email has not been completed but i m not able to do it

Hi. There are 3 ways to solve this problem.
1.First log in to your e-mail account and check for any messages from Facebook regarding confirmation. If you have one, simply click the link in that email and you will be able to use your facebook account.
2.If you have not received any email from Facebook, log in to your facebook account and click the 'resend confirmation email' button. Than proceed to step 1.
3. If none of the above works, try creating a new account and make sure you type the right email address. Once again proceed to step 1.

Facebook has blocked access to my account don't know what to do.i received an e-mail from facebook asking for a proof of identity like a photo that i must send.is this true?

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

STOP! Do not send anything yet. This may be a scam. Do not click on the link in your email!

Let's start from the beginning. When you attempt to log into your Facebook account - if your account is being blocked by Facebook - you will receive a notice that your account is being blocked. It is a very clear notice.

Facebook then requires you to go online and fill out one of two forms:

Click here for online form (if you violated the facebook terms and statement of rights and responsibilities)
Click here for other online form (if your account was blocked because of security reasons - phishing, hacking, scam, etc)...

If your Facebook account has been hacked, your password may have been changed. If so, the person(s) responsible could easily have sent you an email requesting that you send them a copy of your I.D.

You can determine if your password has been changed by 'Identifying Your Account'. Click here first to do that:
Identify My Account

If you cannot Identify your account, click here: HELP!

If you received a link in your email to provide Facebook with additional information, make sure that you are on a REAL Facebook page. In your browser's URL window, you'll see the Facebook icon.
You'll see vanherringto_0.pnghttp://www.facebook.com

Report this email request for ID to Facebook. If it's a scam, they'll email you and let you know:

send an email to: [email protected]

Even though you don't have the old email, it's still the required log-in so as long as you still have your password you should be ok.
simply log in with the old address info and access your account online to change your email info from your browser app.
