    hey Squishy2,

I have replaced the door switch I have replaced the ccu I have unplugged all the wiring harness once I have looked for burnt & broken wires. I ran a test on it I got no error code It did come up with the light blinking at the Rinse/spin & that meant door lock issues..Ok So what else can I do I am kind of stuck.. do you think it might be a bad door switch (even though it is new) or a bad console..? So do you have any more ideas..? thanks for all the help...

    Hi Squishy,

I will check the door & make sure it is tight. I have been thinking I might have a bad door switch ( even though it is new). Do you think the console could be messed up..? The door locks as sson as you push the start button and then nothing happens...

    thanks for the help

did the mach give you another code after a while?do you hear a humming noise? if you do make sure hot and cold water is turned on.sometimes you have to let it sit for at least 10mins for another code to show.

Hi there,

sounds like the machine has no power at all.

there was no need to break the lock.

unplug the machine
take off the console
check connections from the touchpad to the CCU board
make sure nothing is corroded, burned, bent or pinched
unplug and replug the wiring harness
plug the machine back in and try it again.

let me know if this works.

    hi again,

i would check the door itself then before replacing the door switch again. make sure none of the hinges or door liner (metal panel inside of the door) are damages or loose. i have a suspicion that the door itself is not aligned because of the door lock.

if all else fails, replace the door lock again.

let me know how it goes.

start with the door switch first. i wouldn't go into the the more expensive parts until i know for sure that the door switch is working.

Whilpool duet don't work and my clothes are stuck because the door won't open.

1. Unplug washer
2. Remove bottom access panel. (three screws along the bottom)
3. Reach up on the right side where the door lock is located, there you will find a release mechanism. Pull down and the door will unlock.

If you need further assistance, let me know

Whirlpool Duet won't run

The trouble could be with the door interlock. When the clothes were jammed in the door it could have caused the door latch to put strain on the interlock.
