  • Go to regedit: HKey_users .Default Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Internet Settings Digest
  • Delete the Hosts sub key and Reboot.
  • Upon Reboot go back into the key and go to security permissions for just that hosts key (it will be recreated).
  • Select the “System” and click on Deny in Full Control and read access (this prevents the system from writing hundreds/thousands of erroneous entries

Access denied on computer

I hope you double checked the caps lock, what was the last activity you performed? If it was an installation from unknown / untrusted web source, possibly it's the spyware that infected your OS. Also try to login using Guest account (if enabled). Or check the password hint.

Try to buy a Windows XP2 cd . The cd key is ( HH8M2 - JV8XT - PGWY2 - 8WV28 - 2B9M3 ). Replace your old OS xp home edition , with Windows XP2 OS. Hoping this would solve your problem sir. Have a nice day..

Access denied to documents and settings folder

The account that you are accessing; is it an Admin account, and now from the very account you are trying to access that account is a limited one, Is that so?

If that is the scenario, then there are ways through which you can get an admin access, but IF those files aren't there or are corrupted, then that is something else.

I'm waiting for your response...
Also get the properties of that account folder and tell me that folder size, to have an idea that is there something in it.

Regards, WAQAR.

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

I have seen around ten questions just like yours today. What email service are you using? This sounds like a problem with the server on the emaill side. It should go back to norm in a few days if not sooner.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regedit not open in windows xpsp2

If regedit is not working you more then likely have spyware on your computer. Use a program such as spybot search and destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html to remove it. You can also use regalyz to modify your registry if regedit is not working. It is downloadable at the same website.

D,f drives "access is denied" on double click. but opens when rt clk and 'open'

What OS you're using?
Are you having Admin rights on the system you're trying to access the e&f drives?

If you have admin rights, then try to look at the security options of the drive (Right click on the drive and check properties). Make sure that your login name / your group is listed with full permissions.

Home network

hi, 1) Check the status of the "computer browser" and "netlogon" 2) check the network configuration on both end IP=? Netmask=? Workgroup=? if these are not in same range make it same range any verify if pinging is happening. 3) Check if any firewall is causing the system, if firewall is exist try to open all ports for temporary to check. 4) go to control panel==> double click the network setup wizard==> "and follow the steps" remember that you are keeping same workgroup. 5)run antivirus and antispyware if any network threats are causing the problem if it didn't help you, write your OS version and applications name that have been installed on the system. thanks Arun
