Warning light on at start up- goes off after driving awhile. Sometimes revving up high to about 4000rpm will start the charging system working. When it is in warning mode- blower will not work- but does as soon as warning light goes off
First, go to AutoZone and get a free check of your battery and the charging system.Second. If that didn't detect your problem, remove the alternator and have AutoZone run a free bench scan/test because you may have a faulty diode.
All the best,
Ben
Sounds like your battery isn't charging properly, first thing to check, is your alternator belt slipping, is it tight enough, if so does it need replacing?
Next the battery, if its over 2 years old it could be on its way out. Does it hold its charge?
Finally, Alternator, is it still providing a charge for the battery? Are all electrical connections good and clean?
