Well first and foremost those are three different manufacturers you have there and there are several ways in setting up your routers for DSL internet service. The very first thing you need to know is how do you connect your computer when its connected directly to the A\DSL modem, some modem acts like a router as well if that is the case then the only thing you need to verify is for the router and modem to have different IP address range(normally routers will have a default IP address of 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.01 depending on the manufacturer). Now if your computer requires a dialer(normally it will show as broadband connection on network connections) where your username and password from you ISP is saved then you need to setup PPPoE on your router to perform this you either use the setup CD that came with it or manually configure PPPoE by accessing the administration page of the router using your browser(Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari). And lastly there is a static connection where you need to assign a specific IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Servers provided by your ISP on the computer or router which is as it say's you need to configure the IP address and the rest of the stuff that they provide but normally static IP is more commonly being used by large companies that requires a fix IP for their VPN and remote connections.

The CD is not available for installation is it necessary? I have all of the cable if the Yellow cable connects to the cable router what does the white cable on the wireless router connect to. Thank...

If the cables supplied have RJ45 connectors then they are used for connecting and configuring the wireless settings in Netgear router and to connect the Netgear to the DSL modem foe Internet access.
Most likely the color of the cables is not important.
To configure the wireless settings, connect a cable from one of the LAN ports (not the WAN/Internet port) to the LAN port on your computer. You may remove this cable after configuring the wireless settings if you want to connect to the Netgear by wireless only. You need to connect other computers to the Netgear's LAN port with a cable if they do not have wireless cards installed in these computers.

The other LAN cable is used to connect the Netgear WAN/Internet port to the DSL modem so you computers can connect to the Internet via the Netgear router.

Follow these instructions to configure the Netgear router.

How do I make my router secure with password. I don't have the disk or instructions.

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configoration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
Connect your DSL or cable modem to the D-Link router.

How do you connect 2 routers into one network? I have a Linksys E3000 and a WRT110...I've had the wrt110 for over a year but I found I needed a second router to cover my entire house so I purchased a...

The easiest way is to run a long Ethernet cable from one of the 'LAN' (or 'network') ports on the "first" router to the 'WAN' (or 'Internet') port on the second router. The "first" router is the one connected to your cable-modem or DSL-modem. Both routers will auto-configure themselves for this "wired" connection. Configure the wireless-adapter in the second router as per normal.

Or, run a long Ethernet cable from the cable-modem (or DSL-modem) to a location in the "center" of your home, where you can put your wireless-router, such that its signal spans the entire building.

Or, move the cable-modem (or DSL-modem) to a location in the "center" of your home, and connect the one router at that location.

Netgear wgr614 v6 As Bridge for XBOX

I'll take a stab at this. It's a bit difficult because I don't know what your level of expertise is. You're actually using the Netgear wireless ROUTER not a bridge. Your ISP can use a couple of methods to give you service. DSL companies like Verizon probably use PPPoE which require you to login and provide a password and VZ is notorious for closing down port 25.

O.K. Did I mention I don't like them very much? Anyway, I'm going to give you a link to Netgear's excellent web site for configuring a router and the XBOX connection. This is the whole list of v6 compatible instructions. Note the very bottom link to use Netgear routers with XBOX.

http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wgr614v6.asp

Note under the Troubleshooting topic that there is a configuration and two setup files, depending on what you're connecting to, and some tips on what to do if it doesn't work.

It's not as bad as it looks.

Problem regarding firewell

If it is a brand new unit, the default confiration should work for most Cable and DSL providers. If you use DSL and need to setup a PPPoE login and password, you just need to point your browser to http://1292.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 this would all depend on the make and model of your router.

You can also reference the manufactorer's support page to find the owners manual and resetting and confiruation help. The owners manual will also discuss the firewall, port forwarding, universal plug and play (UPnP), and more.

Linksys: http://www.linksys.com/
D-Link: http://www.dlink.com/
Netgear: http://www.netgear.com/
Belkin: http://www.belkin.com/
Cisco: http://www.cisco.com/

For a D-Link AirPlus DI-524, look at the bottom of your router and locate the revision. Then visit http://support.dlink.com/downloads/ and select DI then 524 and choose the revision. That website will show pictures and show you where to find the revision. From there you can download the manual.

With the question being vague, all you need to set it up is a cable or dsl modem with an ethernet cable running to the WAN port of the router. From there, you need another ethernet cable running to another computer OR if it wireless, connect to the wireless SSID (network name). You may need to configure the router for the SSID.

Hope this helps!

Linksys Wireless-G (WRT54GS (EU/LA/UK))

I have had that issue quite often and found that when you are using a router with DSL, the DSL modem and Router IP has a conflict because they are the same number. I suggest looking into a D-Link wireless router for use with DSL.
