Vertical lines on a screen

If the image is ok on an external monitor it
Could be a failing screen, or loose VGA cable
Remove the screen bezel and the hinges that hold the screen onto the lid, check that the vga cable is tight in the connector, check also that the inverter cable is secure and the lead from the motherboard to the other end of the inverter cable is tight.

Check if possible that the other end of the vga cable that goes to the motherboard has not worked loose.

If these are tight, the screen is beginning to fail and will need replacing
If you get the same problem on another external monitor, the problem lies in the graphics chip, sometimes , this is a sign of overheating, you should strip the laptop and clean out the fan and heatsink assembly

VGA CANT BE INSTALLED

Please check your system's user's manual. It's likely it's got an integrated VGA card on the motherboard, which needs to be DISABLED in order to allow an external one (PCI, PCIe, etc) to work.
If you already have an external VGA card that was working, XP and Vista are very capable of detecting older video cards, and occasionally miss one or two during installation. This is fixed by running the Windows Update utility several times. Try that.
If that fails, I would suggest you try reinstalling the operating system, which, by the way, you haven't specified what it is.
Good luck!

Error takes place whenever i install the driver of the motherboard Asus x series K8S-MX socket754 sis760gx fsb800 vga integrated Agp8x

what kind of error

try flashing the bios but before you do i need to know what kind of error you are having. it could be a bad disc try putting the driver on a flashdrive downloaded from ASUS first then flash the BIOS if all else fails.

P5V VM-DH + EAX1600XT SILENT (256) = problem.. nahh

Did you turn your current graphics card down to 256 colors(more then likely your old video card is built into the motherboard). You have to do that before you install the card or that may be causing your error.
Keep me posted,

Screen wont come on

If you don't hear any beeps and your laptop is connected to the charger then most likely the motherboard or vga chipset has failed.
