Question about Cameras
The normal cause of this fault is when the lens has had a knock or been forced some how, the only fix for this is to take the whole lens assembly apart and replace the broken parts or alternatively replace the whole lens assembly. Either option is not that cheap to do. It will depend on how new the camera is and what model as to wether it is worth while to repair.
