Question about Samsung SN-S082D DVD RW Dual Layer Burner

Samsung SN S082 dvdplayer Laptop

Cd/dvdplayer Samsung SN S082 in my Medion laptop MD96350 doesn't work anymore. Use Vista, all new updates
- I disconnected the player in device manager, the player was newly installed
- I did the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} trick, by removing the UpperFilter, there were no Lowerfilters to remove.

It still does not work, all the forums end at this point. The device manager says the player works well.

SOURCE: dvd player

try updating the driver for your player that supports windows vista. if the player is not detected in your vista but detected in your bios try updating your bios as well. or you can try to do a system restore by going to start all programs accessories system restore. choose a date which you believe your player to work fine.

Hello,
I Suggest that you scan your computer with RadarSync so that you will know which drivers are outdated since you have two possible problems here.

1. Hardware - sound card not attached to the computer properly.
2. Software - outdated driver
I suggest that you update the drivers so that you can cover the software side of it. If it won't get fixed, then you would need to contact a technician to get your computer serviced.

I checked their website. Did you download the sound driver RAM2080 Win Vista x 86 15.02.2007 version 6.10.5337.0?

If so and it did not work it looks like you'll have to update the BIOS (BIOS update RAM2080 _only_ for MS Windows Vista 14.05.2007 version F0A. However BE VERY CAREFUL and follow the instructions EXACTLY, otherwise you may make the computer unbootable.

You need to stop using Vista as Microsoft has not supported it since 2014. OK to use Vista for a while after 2014 because Windows Update still gave security updates for other Windows products (Word, Works, etc.). But now, Windows Update for Vista will not work anymore for anything. At least switch to Windows 7 as Microsoft will probably support it until 2020.
