It is not uncommon for a person to have more than one email account.
Most email service providers offer their customers a way to import email contacts and messages from other email accounts into the account maintained by the provider.

Some email service providers, such as Gmail and Yahoo Mail, have an email migration tool built in to their email interface.

Other providers, such as Comcast, direct their customers to use the TrueSwitch email migration tool.

Log in to your Gmail account.

Open the Gmail settings menu by clicking the pinwheel icon located in the top right corner of the window. Select "Mail setting."

Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
Click "Import mail and contacts."
Follow the on-screen instructions to import your address book from another email account into your Gmail account. Import Address Book Into Yahoo Mail Account

Log in to your Yahoo mail account. Click "Contacts."
Open the "View" drop-down menu. Select "All Contacts."
Open the "Tools" drop-down menu. Select "Import."
Click "Others."
Follow the on-screen instructions to import your address book from another email account into your Yahoo mail account.
Import Address Book Using TrueSwitch Tool

Go to the Esaya TrueSwitch secure transfer Web page. Check the box next to the "Terms of Service" statement.

Click "Begin."
Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your address book from one email account to another.

The TrueSwitch tool supports transfer from and to Windows Live / Hotmail, AOL / AIM, Yahoo mail, GMX, Verizon, Comcast, ATT, Charter, Time Warner, Cablevision, Cox, CompuServe, Earthlink, Juno, and PeoplePC, among other email accounts.

Whatever you are trying to do, sounds a bit "iffy". It is illegal to use someone elses name and password.
Use one name and one password, then you can remember it.

I want to retrieve all my old emails from my Gmail account to Yahoo (for back up reasons). How do I do that? all the solutions I tried works only for new emails arriving and not for my old ones.

Hi,

You can import Contact in yahoo.below is the procedure
1. Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Mail page, then MAIL OPTIONS...you will be in the GENERAL mode...then click on CONTACTS.(left side of the screen)..once in click on TRANSFER CONTACTS TO YAHOO...
2. You will be prompted to re-enter your password as a security measure.
3. Next is a permissions page which goes over legal information. Click I Agree. If you'd rather not continue, click I Do Not Agree.
4. Verify that you've read the Terms of Service by clicking in the check-box. Click Start Transfer.
5. Enter the "old" email sign-in name for the account you're transferring from, and in the pull-down menu, select the webmail domain it's from.
* Choose from:
Hotmail, AOL, Gmail, Comcast, Yahoo!, Cox, Earthlink, MSN, Netzero, Juno, CS, Optonline, and Worldnet.att.net
6. Enter the email account's password. Click Next.
7. Please wait a moment while we verify this information. If we run into a problem, we'll ask that you please re-enter the username, provider and password info.
8. Now, leave a check in the check-boxes beside the information you'd like to transfer to your Yahoo! account. You can transfer Email, Address Book info, and usually, your Calendar info. Please note some webmail programs don't feature calendars.
* Would you like to send a note to all these contacts announcing your new email address? No problem! Leave a check in the box beside "Send a note..." And if you want to write the note yourself, just click "Click here to personalize...". Click Next when you're done.
* Click Next to transfer the information to your new Yahoo! account.
* The "Finished" page will confirm the transfer and offers you a quick route back to your Yahoo! Mail account: Take Me To Yahoo! Mail.

I switched to att.net for incredimail and am unable to send e-mai

If you are using windows mail you need to modify you account settings for the new mail server. You need to know your user name and password for your account. You will also need the Incoming Mail(POP3) and Outgoing Mail(SMTP) and if the server requires authentication. You will get this information from AT&T. Once you obtain this info you can modify the current account or add a new one using under the tools tab then accounts.

I can receive but not send e-mail using cox.net from my blackjack II.

Check your server settings.
Your Incoming server should be pop.xxx.cox.net
Your outgoing server should be smtp.xxx.cox.net.

The "xxx" is dependent upon the Cox region in which your email account is based.

For example, I am in VA so my incoming server is pop.east.cox.net. Check your Cox account for the exact settings

Signed for ATT.net account, why yahoo now? not getting mails.

ATT.net creates a new Yahoo account for you when you sign up for their service. You now have a Yahoo account that can be accessed with the ladyg.....@att.net as the user and whatever your ATT pass is.

It is possible to merge the new account with the old account:

http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=485

The article states that you can only merge only during the registration process, but I believe this to be false.

I no longer have ATT, but there was an option to merge a Yahoo account while managing your ATT information (I belive this is accessible from your ATT home page). ATT should be able to assist you with that regardless of whether you merged during the registration process or not.

Setting a new password. can not open my email account

What is your question? Is this a Cable or DSL or another Internet provider E-mail account. If it is from a provider: IE: cox.net, earthlink.net, or comcast then you need to contact your provider. If this is from MSN, GMAIL, or YAHOO type account then you need to contact them somehow.
