Question about PfaFF Tiptronic 2030
I have pfaff 1222 and 1229 and they both have the same problem. They sometimes work for a few minutes and then stop, then will start working again the wheel is turned manually. Mostly they just aren''t working. I had the foot peddle fixed for the 1229 but the machine still not working so it is not the foot peddle.
Have a certified repairman look at the power board in the machine. The power supply circuits are broken on the board itself. Can be repaired with wire and solder. How do I know? Just fixed my wifes 1229 that had the same problem.
P.S. New boards are NOT available from PFAFF or anyone else

Could be any number of things causing this problem - and would require a technician who's worked on your particular model to diagnose (Pfaff Dealer Locator).
It could even be something as simple as needing a good, thorough servicing - not the inexpensive blow out the dust & put oil on the hook type, but a full service that checks all the gears, timing, oiling, grease on the gears, motor brushes, etc. Having a full service done every 1-2 years is generally a good idea.
Hope you're up and running properly very soon.
