Pfaff 1222 and pfaff 1229

I have pfaff 1222 and 1229 and they both have the same problem. They sometimes work for a few minutes and then stop, then will start working again the wheel is turned manually. Mostly they just aren''t working. I had the foot peddle fixed for the 1229 but the machine still not working so it is not the foot peddle.

Have a certified repairman look at the power board in the machine. The power supply circuits are broken on the board itself. Can be repaired with wire and solder. How do I know? Just fixed my wifes 1229 that had the same problem.

P.S. New boards are NOT available from PFAFF or anyone else

Could be any number of things causing this problem - and would require a technician who's worked on your particular model to diagnose (Pfaff Dealer Locator).

It could even be something as simple as needing a good, thorough servicing - not the inexpensive blow out the dust & put oil on the hook type, but a full service that checks all the gears, timing, oiling, grease on the gears, motor brushes, etc. Having a full service done every 1-2 years is generally a good idea.

Hope you're up and running properly very soon.

Happy stitching,

My Pfaff Tiptronic 6270 does not sew.

Try unplugging the power cord from the machine, let it set for a few minutes and try plugging in again. Sometimes this will reset the machine.

PfaFF creative vision automatically restarts

Probably the transformer is bad. You should have a five year warranty on this but a dealer has to see it.
Sorry, no easy fix.

My 7570 will not run, the light is on but it will not sew

Disconnect the foot control. Turn the handwheel to see if it will turn over freely. Next, power up the machine and press the 'needle down/up' button a few times.. If that works, things are looking promising and the issue is most likely the foot control. If you are able to try your foot control on another Pfaff. If your foot control is not working, most likely it will be the carbon tracer pins inside the foot control. These can be purchased for a few dollars. Skill level to fit them is moderate..... you may break the pins if you do it incorrectly. Alternatively, get a quote for a repairer to do it. Takes 5 minutes.to do.

it would be a good idea to have the pedal and the machine both checked. only a sewing machine repair shop can tell you what the problem is.

My Pfaff 2046 just stops sewing. The machine wants to reset itself and then when I hit the pedal there is no power. Any ideas? If I let the machine sit for awhile and try again it will work for @ 10...

Intermittent problems such as yours can be caused by a few things. First move your machine to another area of your home to determine if it is the power in your sewing room.

Then carefully examine your foot pedal parts and cords. If you find a problem have that part replaced.

If these things don't work... take it in because it's a problem with the electronics.

Pfaff 360 automatic slows and stops after only minutes of use

Pfaff 360's don't like to sit, they like to drink. . .. oil.
Set top knob "C" to 0
Right top (zig-zag knob) set to 4, lever below but on the same dial points straight down. Set stitch length to 4. Run 5 minutes medium speed.

After that lift off the top cover and spray inside with "Tri-flow", then run a hairdryer on it for 20 minutes to warm up or set near a warm lamp overnight. Run daily 5-10 minutes and exercise the right knob between 0 and 4 (zig-zag). It should come back to working with oil, time, and heat.

Pfaff Creative Vision embroidery/sewing machine says motor overload then shuts down

I had the same problem and it was my power supply. I've had more than my share of problems with this machine and it's only 3.5 years old. Good luck.
