Had this problem yesterday..get a test light and test the power coming off your battery in the engin bay. test both sides of the fuse, your fuse may be blown but still looks good.

check the remote wire. at your head unit.. there may be a chance you have wired it into the electric antenna wire.. (i have also done this..), also, when you said your amp came on once.. did you adjust the settings on the amp, like power output subsonic filter etc

Hello
Some kind of dead short is there. It may be inside the amp circuit of with outside wiring. You have to find it by meter check. Contact a auto electrician and let hinm detect the fault. OK.

Ok everything is working but the remote wire not

First make sure you have the right wire hooked up, there is a Power Antenna wire, and remote turn on wire, and both are blue, but one has a white stripe.. Just make sure the right one is hooked up.

Now if the right wire is hooked up, and still no voltage there are 2 ways to get turn on power to the amp.

Option 1.
Buy a LVT (low voltage trip), they come with instructions, and arent very hard to use. They will only turn on the amp when signal is sensed through the speaker leads.

Option 2. (I don't care for this one)
Find an accessory fuse in the fuse box (meaning only has voltage when the key is in the on position), and run a wire from there directly to the amp.
WARNING ABOUT OPTION 2. This can be noisy, and cause a whine in your speakers, this should be a last option.

My fiance purchased a pair of P1 RF speakers and their matching amplifier. when he hooked them up in our car everything worked well. we unhooked everything and then ran all the wires and re-hooked...

well let me see i can bet something happened so what happened??? i bet the amp is not working right? hahaha here's my sign right!!! all right enough fun. is the light on the amp coming on? you might also need to turn the key all the way to the run position, if not wired exactly right then amp will only power up when vehicle is running or key is in the run position i need to know this before we really go any further. let me know so i can get you up and running quickly.

Visonik 350watt Amp Doesnt Come On....

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red probe alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

My kenwood amp wont turn on

What kind of "Clips" did you put on? They may be causing too much resistance and preventing the amp from getting the current it needs. Double-check with a voltmeter that you are getting at least 12 volts at the amp power connections and make sure your ground lead is as short as possible and connected to solid metal of the vehicle's chassis.

Amp is getting hot

amp naturally get hot but not hot enough to burn your finger.if all the speakers working,no distorted sound(sound clear),the problem might be the ventilation(free air flow) of amp.check the blower fan if working or check the exhaust holes maybe it is blocked. here are the other reasons; 1.)speaker wires touched the chassis ground. 2.)mismatched speaker to amp impedance. 3)overdrive input or u tap low input(from amp) to high output(of stereo) 4.)ur amp is out of bias. u need an audio technician for this... hope this help u...
