Need more information. the easiest way to tell is to bring your computer and speakers to some radio shack and ask the geek with the pocket protector. Plan to buy some small item to get the geek to help you.

I have a HP Pavilliona630n and I would like to hook up speakers to this computer. My monitor is a HPS2031 and it does not have speaker inputs or outputs. What type of speakers and cables do I need to buy...

The HPS2031 monitor has a audio-in jack port behind the monitor. You just need a audio cable male-to-male to connect from monitor to the cpu. Make sure the audio drivers for the computer are installed

I am trying to hook up my monator to the computer(cpu) and only nave one wire to it. I think there should have 2. I was looking for a hookup diagram. Can't find one HELP

There should be two cables coming from your monitor -- one that hooks up to the computer and one that goes to the outlet, for power. The outlet cable looks almost like a normal power cable, with three prongs on one end and three holes on the other end.

The cable that hooks to your computer is likely a serial cable, with a blue connector that hooks up to the blue port on the back of your PC. Instead of the serial connector, you might have a DVI connector, which is skinnier and should have a removable white cap on it. If your computer has a DVI port, than you can use the DVI cable, otherwise you'll have to use the serial cable (with the blue connector).

Hope that helps.

I need to hook speakers up to my Dell B110 computer.

2 things are needed to get sound from your speakers:

1-wiring connecting your speakers to a socket to the back of the computer. (The spot they need to plug in to ON YOUR COMPUTER is a small light green circular socket. The other end of the plug you plug in here should run to one of your speakers *usually the right side speaker-the right speaker should then have separate wiring to connect the left speaker.)

2- A source of power.
Some speakers use their own power source and plug in to a power outlet - your wall. Other types have a USB type plug and plug into a USB port in your computer and that is how THOSE get their power.

Those are the basics of sound setup. Some computers are equipped with more complicated setups such as surround sound, subwoofers, digital and more. Reply if you need more help, I will try to assist you further.

Hope this helps.

I have a pavillion model # 4535, and i dont know how or what i need to hook my speakers up. i tryed connecting them but all i get is static. please help new to a computer, 1st timer LOL

Make sure the speakers you are using are powered, which means they have to plug into a power outlet as well as the computer.

On the computer itself, the port will be colored green or a light or lime green.

If you are getting static, sounds like they are just plugged into the wrong port!

If all is proper, then the speaker could be bad.

Hope that helps!

Connected pc to logik 32in lcd tv, getting picture but no sound

Need clarification. Do you have speakers hooked up to your computer? Or did you just plug in a VGA cable from your computer to the TV? The sound can't magically go from your computer to the TV, because VGA cables don't transmit sound. So if you are indeed using speakers, which I doubt, it's a computer problem.
Basically, describe exactly what components you have and how they are hooked up.
