BlackJack 2 media player is missing! Deleted! Why?

First off no the phone was not dropped. It was working fine and all of a sudden my next phone call had the generic ring tone the phone came with. I have many different ring tones and also several music & video files that show on my memory card but can not play them because there is no player to play them on. The phone does not say corrupt file it just will not play because there is no application to play them on.
I can be reached at:

you know what??? I find this quite a coincidence that all of a sudden that everyone's phones have developed a problem. Something since the update for daylight savings time might have caused it to corrupt

This just happened to me. Between yesterday and this morning, my ringtones stopped working and when I saw other people complaining about Media Player being gone, I looked and found mine had disappeared too. what the heck is going on???

Same problem. Does not play any video, sounds, ringtones or alarms. Like another person posted, it doesn't say anything was corrupted, it just will not do anything after you try to enter the file. Before the Windows Media Player would come up and then play the chosen file, not anymore. I've turned the phone on and off, removed the battery, and the sim card, but does not do anything. Please help!

I am having the same problems. It was working fine, playing my music ringtones. THEN bammm! They all show corrupt. This is the second time I have had this problem. I called tech support the first time and they had me do a hard reset and said I need to file an insurance claim. I do not feel that I should have to pay $50 to replace this phone that continues with the same problems.

Your phone has to be HARD RESET. This has happened to me twice. it is the only option. they still haven't fixed. You must back up everything and take out your memory card if you have one. It is a pain in the *** but it works...A soft reset wont fix the problem

I have Windows Media Player on my BlackJack which

If you want to remove Windows media player from your handset, just connect it your PC or laptop.
After your PC recognizes your handset, just open it in my computer, and go to 'kjava' named folder and delete all files of windows media player.

THANK YOU for contacting

Samsung Blackjack freezes

If you want, you can try doing a hard reset, which will erase everything that's not on external storages. Here is the hard reset procedure:

1. Removing the battery without turning it off.
2. Reinstall the battery and turn the phone on with navigator key pressed down.
3. press any key to skip to prompt.
4. press yes to reset the phone.

Good luck.

My media player wont open and everytime i try to listen to a song or watch a video it wont work. I can't even set the songs as ringtones. Can u help?

I work for AT&T and have seen this problem on a few BlackJack II's. The way to fix it is to do a master reset on the phone. This will allow it to play again...BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS AND FILES BECAUSE THESE WILL BE DELETED!! Other than that, it will fix your problems!

You can reset your phone’s settings and clear all added
data from memory.
Resetting the Phone
1. On the Home screen, press the Start soft key
2. Select Settings > More… > Security > More… > Reset.
3. Enter the reset password and press the Done soft key. The default password is 0000.
4. Press the Yes soft key to confirm. The phone resets and reboots itself

My blackjack 2 is suddenly reading no service

Im guessing that the Reciever/ Data/ Projection outgoing antanae became disloged on impact(that isnt the official term so dont use it if u talk to ATT. You can either risk damage to the phone and take it apart and screw it all back together, or send it to ATT for free if you got the insurance or warranty. I dont recommend taking it apart b/c you might have to break it and even once you get inside it might be unfixable!!!!!

Blackjack 2 being slow

i dont have a blackjack but this happened on my blackberry 8800. i just deleted a bunch of old text messages and it started working fine. i guess it was running out of memory and that was causing it to run slow.

i dont know if this will work for a blackjack.

My problem

The Windows Media Player 11 issue is sporadic - it often takes hold after you have updated Windows Media Player with a "Hotfix" - Microsoft has been issuing them at least monthly for the past 6 months with their Windows Updates. So it makes sense that your player was working fine one day and not the next. This is definitely NOT an electrical problem.

Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "iLO 2GB player" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and the player should work normally after reloading the songs.
