If they sell individual o rings for the trigger area I would try them first, BUT generally if these tools are older and used, it would be to your benefit to rebuild them when apart, it doesn't take that much longer and then you know what you have. In rebuilding make sure to clean all the debris out and lubricate the o rings with a dab of grease before reassembling. Let me know if you need more assistance.

I have a porter cable brad nailer that doesnt fire , it only hisses air when trigger is depressed. not fire, hiss of air when trigger is depressed it is a fn250c 16ga finish nailer

Try lubing the head valve orings with white grease instead of oil. The issue is caused when the head valve orings do not seal perfectly. Lube and retest with no more than 100 psi. Good luck with your repair

BOSTITCH T31-1 stapler & T31-2 STAPLER and NAILER. Both use 18 gauge (very fine gauge wire). Try using 18 gauge Bostitch staples (used in BT model bostitch staplers). Good Luck

Driver pin on model FN250A not retracting far enough to drive next nail. Will shoot 2 or 3 nails and miss 6 or so.

I had the same problem with an electric stapler from Craftsman after years of disuse. The solenoid that powers the hammer that is no retracting may require lubing if this is possible.

If not, then if the product is within warranty, you might be able to get a replacement.

I have two Porter Cable pneumatic nailers, one a finish and one a brad. Both of them have suddenly quit working. The triggers are loose and not engaged to anything. Somehow the mechanism is not rebounding...

the triggers are held in place in the handle with two roll pins. the trigger itself operates off a hinged paddle inside the trigger. this paddle won't operate unless the safety is depressed. both safeties have a return spring. if yours are missing nothing will work. go to porter cable parts site and purchase the correct parts
