VIDOE CARD PROB?

GAD AM/PM IM USING A GEFORCE MX 400(SE) 64MB ON AN ELITEGROUP MOTHERBOARD P4VMM2.

WHEN I PUT ON THE NEW VIDEO CARD, THE COMPUTER WONT OPEN JUST THE FAN,
IS THE VIDEO CARD BUSTED OR I JUST DIDNT CONF THE CMOS RIGHT???
I ALREADY CHECKED THE MANUAL AND I THINK I DID EVRYTHING.

I TRIED IT IN OTHER MOTHERBOARD AND IT WORKS JUST FINE

Reseat the video card in the slot. then use the cmos reset jumper on the motherboard (when the power is off). if this doesn't fix the issue, then the card may not be compatible with the agp or pci-e slot that is on your motherboard. If this doesn't work (I am assuming your motherboard also has a default (onboard) vga out port - then go into the bios and set the primary display device to be the agp or pci-e slot.

Is gfx 5500 compatible with p4vmm2 ?

Hello !
I was looking over this motherboard over the internet. I saw that it has an expansion slot of AGP 4X slot. Geforce FX 5500 is also AGP compatible.
So to get to the point, yes, they are compatible with each other.
All the best.

    I have a P5VD2-MX motherboard, currently I have a Geforce 7900GS.

    Hi!

Since there is 1 PCI Express x16 slot you can use any PCI Express GPU, like Asus GeForce GTX 260 896MB PhysX CUDA, EVGA GeForce 9800GT 512MB PhysX CUDA, Gainward GeForce 9800GT 512MB PhysX CUDA or whatever you want as long as it is a PCI EPRESS card.

    Good luck

    VIDeo CARD not working

You will need drivers for the FX5000 first, disable the driver for the one your using, shut down and then install the new FX5000, boot up and wait until the VGA comes on, it can take several mins sometimes.

Brand new geforce 6100 pm -m2

This is for the EliteGroup P4VMM2 motherboard. Please remove any newly added video card. One done boot the PC. Windows should load & function (Including video display). Yes?
Restart the PC & press the delete key every 2 seconds untill the bios menu loads. Opem the manual to page 33. Change the Primary Graphics Adapter from PCI to AGP. Save & exit the bios. The system will begian to restart. Press & hold the power button untill the PC shuts down. Unplug the power cord from the PC. Install the AGP card & connect any additional power to the video card if required. Double check all data & power connections for good fit before closing case. Re-connect the power cord & start up the PC. You should have display. Allow windows to finish loading & install the AGP software. Than update windows.
Who ever heard a single long beep. This means the video card may not be seated fully & or correctly. Remove the AGP card, blow out the AGP slot with canned air. Take some alcohol dripped onto a cotton swap. Clean the AGP's copper contacts & clean/wipe the copper within the AGP slot as best as possible. Allow time for alcohol to dry. Re-insert the AGP card, firmely & evenly.
