Its very simple. You can reset it by removing the CMOS battery and then putting it back in. You will have to remove the back panel of the laptop to get to it. This is what a CMOS battery looks like http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000239.htm

How do I get past theYour pc will restart in 2 days to finish installing important updatesIt won't let me enter my password to unlock the pc

Restart your computer
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or F2 key
this will vary depending on your computer and operating system
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart.
This will set the boot order
If this fails you might try some of these
Acer: - Ctrl+Alt+Esc

ALR PC: (F2) or (Ctrl)(Alt)Esc)

AMI BIOS: (Del), (F1) or (F2)

AST, Advantage, Award, Tandon: - Ctrl + Alt + Esc

Award BIOS: (Del) or (Ctrl)(Alt)(Esc)

When turning computer on boot start and freeze when screen show F2 F12 . Nothing else work no matter what key I press. It wont even turn off unless we disconnect power supply and remove the battery.

It may happen due to hardware failure, BIOS mismatch or due to static charge. Let us try the basic troubleshooting. Turn Off the Computer, remove all the devices attached to
the computer, the power cable and battrey, now holdon the power button for 15 secs (make sure adpater and battery are uplugged) it will drain out all the static charge. Now,
restart the computer and keep on tapping F2, you will enter to BIOS setup utility, press F9 (click "Yes", if you are prompted) and then press F10 (Click "Yes", if you are
prompted), it will restart the computer. If still it is not booting to normal mode, then we have to perform a full system recovery & it is a distructive process as you will
loose all the datas on the computer. To do so, Turn Off the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e
Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

How to restore fatory settings without the cd acer aspire 5740g windows 7 home premium windows is not booting n auto recovery that is alt+f10 is also not working but the recovery partition still exist

For all Acer Netbooks try to initiate the recovery using Altgr key (righthand side of the space bar) and F10, ie Altgr+F10 as soon as the computer restarts. If the recovery partion is corrupted or do not have the CD. Try the below steps:
No Restore CD / eRecovery / password / ALT + F10 or F10
1 - Recovery of data on the hidden partition PQSERVICE for password
A - Installing the software R-Drive Image to create an image of this partition (this file has the extension. ARC)
B - Always with this software, create a virtual disk logic to see the files
C - From the desktop, go to the newly created virtual disk and find the file aimdrs.dat. The open with the notepad and get the password.
2 - Reactivating the ALT + F10
A - Always on the virtual disk created, find 2 files: mbrwrwin.exe and rtmbr.bin.
B - Copy these 2 files on drive C: \
C - Since the MS-DOS (Pocket PC) to C: \, type the following command: mbrwrwin install rtmbr.bin
D - The function has been reactivated.
3 - Start of Restoration
A - At the start of the PC, go to the set-up to check if the function is well on D2D enabled (normally it is a default setting ... but hey you never know.)
B - Once the audit and that the PC has restarted once the ACER logo appears, simultaneously press ALT + F10 to start the restore utility.
C - When it asks for the password, you need to type one found in the file aimdrs.dat. CAUTION: The keyboard is QWERTY mode so we thought enter his password, but as some letters are reversed, it does not work.
4 - Normally at this stage there ... everything works and restoration is smooth.
Note: If the operating system does not work, it is possible to do this from another PC by connecting the hard drive or USB slave
i found this helped me with exactly the same problem you have on the 7540g aspire laptop use the ALTGR on the right hand side of keyboard not the ALT on the left hand side of the keyboard along with F10 i tried it with just the ALT on the left side nothing happened but when used ALTGR on right side it woeked and reset everything back to factory settings then went to acer site and downloaded missing drivers hope this helps you out

Press delete enter to set up so what can i do nothing is working

Sound you are trying to get into the BIOS, some use key F2,F8, or F10, it will say very fast what the correct key is, it might be very fast.

The first item is the key or key combination. The second is the model of PC or the maker of the BIOS. You'll see some companies listed many times, with different keystrokes. That's normal. (It's not that manufacturers can't make up their minds. It's just that they change suppliers and use different BIOS setups.)
Delete: AMI or Award BIOS.
Esc: Toshiba
F1: Toshiba; Phoenix; some IBM PS/1 models.
F10: Compaq.
F2: NEC.
Insert: IBM PS/2.
Tab: eMachines.
Reset button (press twice): Some old Dells.
Ctrl-Alt-+: Various computers.
Ctrl-Alt-?: Some old IBM PS/2 models.
Ctrl-Alt-Enter: Some Dells, others.
Ctrl-Alt-Esc: AST, Tandon, others.
Ctrl-Alt-Ins: Zenith PCs, Phoenix BIOS.
Ctrl-Alt-S: Phoenix BIOS.
Ctrl-Alt-Shift with Del (on number pad): Olivetti.
Ctrl-Esc: Many PCs.
Ctrl-Ins: Some IBM PS/2s.
Ctrl-S: Phoenix BIOS.
Ctrl-Shift-Esc: Tandon
