All crafsman carbs are adjusted to meet EPA standards-- problem is they work well new buntil the next season then they ****. they have a HI-LOW adjustment on the carb at the top. but they are set into a wall surronding them. speacial tool needed to adjust. so they want you to bring it in . so they can nail you for a hundred bucks. my solution was after looking at this was to takea 1/4 in socket as it's called a deep dwell--- use a four MM --- grind down the outer wall of the socket untill it fits down on to the adjust. screw. turn each screw 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. but no more at this point. use good gas and the right amount of mix. mine is 40/1. check the fuel filter clean it --blow though it see if it's pushing air. clean air filter and use a new plug each year. mine is gapped at .35. maybe even shoot a little carb cleaner in the carb to flush it out. and if that don't work. pray your warranty is still good.

How do I change the oil in my 4 cycle engine Craftsman Leaf Blower?

If this is a hand held machine. It doesn't require engine oil changing.!

Although its a 4 cycle engine. its basically a 2 stroke engine with valves. It runs on the same fuel/ oil mix as a normal 2stroke engine. 50:1

I have a Craftsman 794774 leaf blower/vac w/25cc engine that won't start.

Many of these small blowers have an alloy key moulded into the flywheel, if this has sheared it will knock the ignition timing out, and will never run.

Craftsman blower/vac won't start 358.794765

Sears sells what they call a "carb kit" P/N 545081857. It\'s a complete carb for $30 + shipping + tax. I\'n throwing near $50 after a $90 blower that didn\'t make it a full year. Not to mention that I spent half a day calling uninformed (but personable) clerks at Sears asking them about gasket kits for a carb. They just make up stories, like "bring it in, they will know what to do in the store" or "They have the parts in the department"

I have a Craftsman 32cc blower/vac model #358.797251. Replaced fuel lines and primer bulb. Getting fuel but won't start

Check for spark and air filter in good shape. Make sure bulb side gasket is OK! No leaks! Good luck!

My craftsman 32cc leaf blower won't stay running

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old.
Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage.May need to clean or replace carburetor.

Blower won't start.it's getting a good spark

Whilst I cannot offer a definite solution to this problem, it is worth disassembling the carburettor looking for dark brown material that collects if you don't drain the fuel tank after each use. I have started running all of my petrol engines dry to avoid this problem of fuel evaporating leaving coagulated oil in the carburettor as a membrane. You won't damage a good motor by doing this since as you should have lubrication for the piston rings right up until the agonal stroke.

Do I need to use synthetic oil for my leaf blower or can I use two stroke reg. Oil?

leaf blowers have a two stroke engine, so they need the oil mixed in the gas. so use two stroke engine oil mixed with the fuel. hope this helps
