If the system is completely dead, (verify wall outlet is good, and power cable is not broke) my first suggestion would be to replace the power supply. They can be found online or a local computer shop for $25 -75.00
You want to match or exceed to wattage rating (don't replace a 300 watt with a 150).
You will want to get a replacement that has the same connectors that go to the main board.
Unplug connector and note 22-24 pins
If Your Processor is an Intel there should also be a 4 pin plug that also goes to motherboard
Most power supplies are held in by 4 screws on the back of the computer.
