check on the floor of the dishwasher on front left side. There should be a round float that is the overflow cut off. \make sure that it will go up and down. This is what shuts off the water.

I have a Bosch dishwasher model SHU66. Clean water slowly pools in the base when the dishwasher is not in use. We need to drain the DW every 12 hours or water will overflow onto the floor. Is this an isue...

IT SOUND LIKE IT IS A WATER VALVE ISSUE.DRAIN AND CANCELTHE MACHINE FIRST THEN TRY TO SHUT OFF THE WATER GOING INTO THE MACHINE PROBABLY UNDER THE SINK. SEE IF THE WATER IS STILL COMING IN TO UNIT. IT SHOULD NOT BE. THEN TURN ON WATER IF THE WATER STARTS TO FILL MACHINE THEN CHANGE THE WATER VALVE.

Please check your overflow float. It may be stuck in the down position. It looks like a little hat or cone in the bottom of the machine. It should move freely up and down. If it is stuck in the down position, your machine may over fill with water and cause your leak. Good luck

New Whirlpool Dishwasher filler overflows.

New Whirlpool Dishwashers will NOT accept the same "volume" of water that was desired by the same products of 25 years ago. Therefore the old 3/8" ID copper supply is too large and will overflow the tub filler/aireator (out the air vent holes). I just installed a new dishwasher supply kit consisting of a new 3/8" OD stainless braded hose with an ID of about 1/4". This delivers less volume than that recommended (in the installation manual) and therfore does restrict the flow a bit. However, the flowrate is adequate and the new dishwasher now works perfectly with no water overflow on the floor . . .

Bosch dishwasher fills with water after cycle is completed

Sounds like you need a new water inlet valve. It's not shutting off completely, so water slowly enters the machine even while it isn't running.

The clean water fill will not shut off and water overflows from the dishwasher onto the floor. We had to turn off the water supply to the dishwasher to get it to stop.

Fill valve is shot , new one required

Ps

Does it still run when you remove the power if so the above applies

If it shuts off then the problem sits with the pressure switch

Water leaking onto the floor

1. If the water is going onto the floor during the drain cycle there is either a hole in the hose or it is completely loose from the DW or a hole in the drain assembly under the sink but if that were the case you would have water under the sink also.
2. If it during the wash or rinse cycle then the seals are not sealing (door is not closed all the way or seals are bad) or the float at the right front of the DW is stuck allowing the DW to overfill with water.(you need to open the door and pull the float up and out as you do so push it up and down and listen for a clicking sound.(which indicates it is making contact with the fill solenoid)..if you here the clicking and the float is full of gunk (old soap and such) clean it out and replace it and run it through a cycle and monitor the DW to see if the fill cycle shuts off before the water reaches the overflow point.
3. the only other option is a possible rust through on the DW and or the drain and motor mount in the center of the DW where the food particles and water are drained...is loose and leaking or rusted through...(how old is the DW).
4. Also check to see there are no large particles around the door seal to prevent complete closure and sealing of the door seal. As well as the door latching properly (when closed can the door be moved or pulled open)?

I hope this helps and let me know if not Please relay model number, age and other specifics you feel are pertinent...thank you and please rate me if this helped...thanks again ...the Fang
