Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

We bought a Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse and it's been having this problem where it doesn't boot with the system. It will eventually start working after restarting the computer repeatedly, but the majority of the time the mouse is not detected. When we run a systems test during the boot process, it reads that the mouse is not detected. Is this a common problem and is there a solution?

Should be solved by just unistalling the device drivers for your mouse and then installing the latest ones which you can download free off of the logitech site just sounds like a driver error

Change the batteries and pressed the on/off-switch arrow dont mov

Make sure you have the latest drivers from the logitech website.

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/KEYBOARD-and-MOUSE/LOGITECH/Logitech-LX7-Cordless-Optical-Mouse.shtml

Also, make sure that the receiver is within a reasonable proximity of the mouse. I have also found that I get interference if I have placed the receiver near my speakers.

Please rate me if this works.

Try new batteries and make sure the on/off switch is ON. If that does not work, please post back describing the problem in detail, and I will try to help.

Do i need a disk for mouse to work

Hey bigbufford,
You may want to search for the drivers from the manufacturers site if it's offered in the paperwork. If not, I have always found drivers by just typing in the brand, model and manufacturer on a Google search.

Here's the site I have used

There is the link to download the driver. On the left there is a yellowish orange download circle. Click on that and make sure you have the download go to somewhere you will remember .....so that you can easily access the driver later, instead of loosing it and downloading it over and over..
