Ok, please elaborate your situation what dvd model do u have u can check this my going to my computer right clicking on your dvd drive and then properties and going to the harware tab and it will tell u

on away to fix this would be to go to my comp then right clik on an empty space and hit properties then the hardware tab then then device manager
then click ont he plus sign on ide ata controlers then right click primary ide controllerss and go to properties and then go to advanced settings then look down and make sure it says DMA if available on transfers then hit ok after c cahnging it to dma
and then go on seconadary ide channel properties advance setings and also make sure that it syas dma if available and not POI if it says POI thts a problem just change it and ur speed will improove dramatically
another solution
make sure that ur hard drive isnt connected to the same ribbon cable (IdDE cable) as the dvd rom
u can check this by oening up ur pc and if they share a cable put the dvd drive as secondary master and the hard drive master

Perhaps you should direct your comments to Hamilton Beach rather than the Fixya self-help web site.
No one here can impact the design decisions of manufacturers.

My dvdr/rw wont burn dvds properly

There are many reason for this.Try following steps to look out for solution.

1>Use better quality Dvd to burn .DVDs are just a few cents worth of plastic, manufactured in massive quantities. Sometimes you end up with a bad disk or a bad batch. Try a new disk, or a whole new brand, and you may have more luck burning your DVDs

2>Dust in your DVD burner can prevent it from burning DVDs correctly. Buy a lens cleaning disk and use it in your DVD burner drive. This can clean things up and give you a clean, successful burn.

3>For better quality burn at slow speed. It’s always tempting to burn DVDs at the highest speed possible. In theory, you’ll save time and can get more DVDs burned. In practice, though, higher speeds can result in unreliable burns.
Slow things down and set your DVDs to burn at 4x or even 2x. This may eliminate errors.
I hope this will solve your problem.

Hello my samsung sh-s182 dvd -+rw doual very slow burn [email protected]

First look and see the write speed of the drive. 1x to 4x is slow but recommended by all programs and this is initially the default settings for most programs. You must goto the settings of your dvd burning program and set the burn rate to 16x or higher.

Burning errors

Try different media. I find DVD burners to be very finicky about the DVDs it will accept. Try 3 or 4 different brands until you find one that doesn't error out, and stick with it.

Fuse

I used a slow blow fuse. The blown one looked like it was a slow blow - there was quite a bit of material in it - but it was hard to tell because it was blown.
