Question about Peg Perego Triplette Stroller

1 Answer

Wheel on triplette

The front wheels on my triplette have become very loose and wobble. They look insecure and one wheel has recently started to work its way free - actually falling off on several occasions with my triplets on board. I have checked that the wheel mechanism is engaged and it always seems to be as I cannot pull the wheel free. The loose fitting wheels also seem to affect turning the pushchair as they catch on the chassis. Will I need new wheels? Would this also solve the problem of the wobbling? also where would I get new wheels from?
many thanks
Nicola Patel

I have the same issue - How did you go with getting Peg to respond? I am in Australia, so all becomes that bit more difficult...

    Cheers.

Hello Nicola -

Contact Perego immediately to fix this problem before the babies get hurt. They are aware of problems with the front wheels falling off of the duette and triplette strollers. They will fix it for you.
Hopefully there will be a repair center near you so that you don't have to wait for shipping back and forth to Perego Indiana. I can imagine running around after 3 little ones is hard to do without your stroller. =) www.perego.com

Bike has recently started to wobble at speeds around 70mph. Any ideas what it may be.

You need to check your front wheel bearing you will get a wobble from a collapsed wheel bearing,I've had it happen to me on my fireblade and since then I replace my bearings every spring when I'm about to get back on the road after winter, just see if your front wheel moves side to side even if there is slight play.
Hope this helps.

1998 voyager front tires wobble back and forth when jacked up. Is it tie rod or ball bearing?

If it wobbles with your hands at 9 and 3, its a tie rod end.
If it wobbles with your hands at 12 and 6, its a wheel bearing.

I own a 23 Ford t bucket,i had a new front spring and shocks put on and now sometimes when I take off the front wheels start to wobble and I have to slow down for them to stop, what should I have done

first check the lug nuts on the wheels. if tight raise the car and try to turn the tires by hand. if a noise or wobble you have bad suspension parts or loose part.

Why does my 1993 Jeep Cherokee 4WD wobble real bad when I hit a bump going 55 mph?

Ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm end, cracked suspension or front frame, loose steering gear, rotated axle housing, bad shock absorbers, unbalanced drive shaft, bad universal joint, loose lug nuts, loose axle shaft nut, bad wheel bearings... go through it ALL, very carefully.

Weird vibration, unable to figure out

I would have the front wheel bearing adjustment checked first as if they are loose the rotor will be rubbing on the pads and the vibration will be wheel wobbling on the loose bearings Unless you replaced the bearings with new ones then they will fail especially if the adjustment was too tight and too much grease was used.

I have a 2001 ford escort zx2 and it seems as if the front wheels wobble at speed at or under 30 mph. The faster you go the wobble disappears. Is this the wheel bearing, loose lug nuts, or u-joint?

If the wobble is very noticeable at low speed I would first suspect the tyre or tyres. Start by changing each front tyre with the spare and see if that affects the symptoms.
I am assuming that you have checked that the wheel nuts are not loose?
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

How do you replace a broken steering cable? I can get the area apart on the front between the wheels but I can't figure out how to take the steering wheel apart?

The steering wheel of the peg perego triplette has several phillips screws that must be removed and also a bolt that goes straight through from top to bottom. The bolt head can be found by removing the gray plastic cap that is about 3/4" square on the top of the wheel. If it were a car wheel it would be the horn button -lol- once removed you can pull the gear and expose the cables.
