Samsung iDCS 18D Office Phone

I've just started work with my company and I'm trying to figure out how to change the display name on the phone that currently reads RECEPTION and put in my personal name. I've been unable to figure this out thus far. Anyone have any ideas? There isn't a book to be found!

Hi, You can change the name on your Samsung phone by hanging up the phone then hitting the 'transfer' button then the numbers 104. Now use the numbers on the keypad to enter your name like you would on a mobile phone for SMS. Hit 'transfer' when youre done and your name should be set.

bye

Our office has a two line system on a idcs 18d our first line will ring throughout the office but the second line is silent and only lights up. How do we make it to where it rings as well?

Assuming you have the programming manual, you need to program trunk 702 to ring to the operator group 500 in MMC 406 in the software programming manual.

No longer displays any data, i.e. date, time, location on display screen. Does not change when there in an incoming call.

Try plugging it into a different jack. If there's no change, the phone is bad. If it works ok, the port in the phone system is bad. Switch it to a spare port, if available.

My Samsung iDCS 18D phone will not ring. The Line light flashes, and I can asnwer calls, but it won't ring. I have tried adjusting volume levels, etc- but it seems like the ringer is turned off.

First prove it is not a faulty handset. Find someone elses phone that is the same model as yours and rings then plug it into your line. If that phone rings your handset is faulty. If the borrowed phone will not ring but flashes then it is programming

Samsung iDCS 18D - no message indicator light when there are new voicemails. How do I fix this?

I would suggest the power supply in your phone system needs replacing as it is making the phone system do things it shouldnt

MESSAGE LIGHT

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
