Question about Waring Pro WC1000 Coffee Maker
I found the issue after about one hour taking the unit apart. Anyhow, in my unit there was a crack in the plastic spout portion. This spout partially goes into the hot water tank. After a bit of time the heat causes the spout to develop a crack, which leaks. I repaired the crack with some epoxy I had on hand and also added some aluminum tape to the area surrounding the spout. I hope the aluminum tape helps keep some of the heat away from the spout and prevent further cracks from developing. Its just a poor design, material wise, it should have been stainless steel from day one.

SOURCE: Unit leaks out of the bottom
Mine just developed the same problem. Me being an engineer, I decided to take it apart and found the problem. There is an aluminum tube shaped like a "C" with a heating element inside of it. Water flows through this metal tube, is heated, and then pushed via steam pressure. There is a metal brace that holds this "C" piece securely to the bottom of the machine. This brace is sharp and overtightened, which caused a small hole to form in the metal, causing the leak (in my machine of course). I am currently researching how to patch aluminum so I can hopefully fix it.

Remove the inner basket that holds the coffee filter and look at the bottom. is the spring and plastic lever intact, the lever redirects the coffee from the bottom port over to the pot. if it is missing or damaged then the coffee will dump all over the place.

Replacement time. a certain percentage of thse have this problem. There is a small, non-replaceable tube in the inside toward the bottom that has become melted/damaged.

Please get the model and the date code from the bottom of the machine and contact customer serivce. Depending on the date code, there might be a seal kit available or the machine can be replaced at no cost if 3 years old or less. If it is over 3 years old and the seal kit isn't available, the machine will be replaced at a reduced price.
