Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Im living on arkansas state university campus in the married housing. there is no ethernet connection in the house. there is a wireless internet through the school. my xbox wireless adapter pics up the signal but the mtu is not enough to run xbox live. it is an 802.11 system i think. is there a way i can use my laptops wireless card to run the xbox live through the wireless card on my computer. like run a cable or something to it from the laptop. the connect now think on my console said something about setting up a bridge is that what i just asked about? if so how do i do it?
1 buy and cantenna and a hawking hwug1 (from hawking website). install hawking on computer (usb wireless device) and then run the network wizard to make the connection a proxy server. run a lan cable from the computer to the xbox, and enable the wireless connection on the laptop to be shared with other computers on the network.
